westerns
i thought a couple days ago i spotted a best westerns thread or some shit but i couldn't find it when i searched for it. anyway i just saw The Wild Bunch and that movie was fucking awesome. For an old western movie it had quite the bloodbath.
All westerns are focused on men. I can't get into westerns because the main characters are men, the story is all about how important it is for the men to kill or save certain people, and I just can't relate to it. Women are secondary. I realize that's how society might have seen it at the time but there were women in the old west, they had lives and thoughts and they did important things, they worked hard.
The only western movie about women is Bad Girls.
what about coyote ugly? i mean that may not be western in the stricest/any sense, but the name sounds like a western
Even Cowgirls Get The Blues.
That really really horrible one with Sharon Stone and Leonardo DiCaprio.
There is hope, but not for us.
hey, that really horrible one was directed by none other than sam raimi
Um, but, yeah... I dig old westerns. Clint Eastwood, baby. He was always going out and killing and saving people. Pale Rider, High-Plains Drifter... Seven Mules For Sister Sarah - that had Sally Fields in it. She's a woman...
Not Sally Fields.
Shirley McLane.

they always bored me.
tombstone was cool thanks to kilmer's role, though.
Once Upon A Time in the West centered around a woman.
It's not easy having a good time.
Even smiling makes my face ache.
The Ballad of Little Jo is also a good movie that centers around a woman...but she does have to disguise herself and live as a man, though, in order to survive being alone in the West.
A Vendetta production. <3

It centered around revenge and a history between two men.
It centered around Bronson's harmonica.
that's in maddechke malorkus! you are coming over, and adam will write another script, this one about the fucking west, starring YOU! THEN WE'LL HAVE A WESTERN ABOUT WOMEN!
i would so pay freeness to see that
I would love nothing more than that. How long does it take to get to your house? If it takes less than 8 hours I could so do it. Weekend trip! I have a car, I can take a couple of days off.
Being young, the only western I've ever seen and liked was Tombstone. Better than Wyatt Earp, the one with Sir Kevin Costner.

You should see Cowboys. It has John Wayne and several young men/boys. It's beautiful. They grow up before your eyes, they become men, because life was rough back then, out there, and boys had to grow up fast *sniffle*
also I guess you should see The Magnificent Seven. All men of all ages LOVE The Magnificent Seven. It's built into your chromosomes.
Magnificent seven is bad. Go directly to "Seven samurai".

i only recently saw seven samurai. i was in awe.
Cowboys are so dirty.
^ That's because they're REAL MEN.
Unforgiven
The wild bunch
Good, Bad and the Ugly.
Can't fuck with these movies.
What?
The Outlaw Josey Wales
The Man With No Name trilogy
Once Upon a Time in the West
Unforgiven
El Topo
Eastwood owns, the Duke can suck it.
andy
don't forget Tank Girl you sods. She rode an OX across the DESERT stealing from the treacherous BADDIES
This is a Robort Puking.
This is why we can't have nice things.
In my opinion, the best western (or anti-Western) is Dead Man starring Johnny Depp. Followed by The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford. Other honorable mentions include Django and Sukiyaki Western: Django.

The only western movie about women is Bad Girls.
I love Maddy.
But I guess she never saw 'Westward the Women'
Say what you will about the Duke Vs Clint. If you're any kind of fan of westerns you oughta see Red River, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance and the Shootist.
Or basically anything John Ford ever did.

that thread did exist, i dont know if it was about this, or the hotel
