Visioneers

Good movie that earned bonus marks for an endearing cast (Galifianakis, Kitty and Sydney Bristow's sister). Cutting indictment of modern society, but it retreads territory covered by far better movies like Brazil. But damn, I really enjoy Zach.
Anyone else?

Alex, I caught you! You're going by "Random" now? Copycat.
i saw zach galafinkakskshgkjagkh on the street the other day
Exactly how I pronounce it.
Hey, look at you.

I never heard of it.
Hi. I can't stay away forever, can I?
I watched it, enjoyed pieces of it, but maintained a drunken state throughout most of it.
I should probably watch it again.
It's a really dry movie, if you're not focused on it I'm sure it's easy to not be enjoyed.
And RT: Welcome back! And I guess, see you soon! As for the name, RandomStranger was my first choice when I first signed up back in 2003, but then I forgot the password and I came back a few months later as Alex Cassun. But then I got permabanned, then unpermabanned, and when I came back I asked if I could restart my RS user name. And now I'm here. Ta-da!

I will definitely see you soon! It's awesome that you're moving up here. Too bad you aren't looking for a place right away, because I need a roommate.
Now I feel like I should change my username. I just don't know what the hell I would change it to, so what's the point?
And I like certain dry movies, so I should see this Visioneers flick. I also adore Galifinakis. Anyone else love him as the gravy robber on Tim & Eric?
AlexPallix is still looking for a place. We're keeping our fingers crossed that my van will survive the journey, but if all goes well we should be landing in Portland around the 2nd of July.
I know! She's here for 6 weeks? Man, if I had more money and could move next month, I would totally have a place for her to stay.
Just finished downloading this.
just watched this the other night. better than i expected it to be. probably shouldnt have been so tired. im not sure i enjoyed it, but that might have also been the fight to keep my eyes open.

“...There are so many ways of being despicable it quite makes one's head spin. But the way to be really despicable is to be contemptuous of other people's pain. You ought to have some apprehension that the man you see before you was once even younger than you are now and arrived at his present wretchedness by imperceptible degrees.”

Nope, she's staying for 3 months.
Watching movies while being tired is never fun. However, straining to keep your eyes open to read a good book is usually worth it. That's a win for books.
And this is unrelated, but where do you go to school, Atomos?
I finally finished watching this. All I could stand was watching it in like 20 minute increments. I love Zach and they got some great themes and ideas but the writing and directing is about unwatchable.
Also, I was kind of hoping they'd stick more to the blind acceptance of things in society, like their good morning salute, rather than trying to force another "Government is trying to make you conform" down our throat. Would have made it a little better.
Anyways, if you want a better movie along the same lines, try Harrison Bergeron. It's not great either, mostly do to being low-budget though, certainly one of the best Vonnegut adaptations.
Here's the whole thing on Youtube if you can't find it anywhere else.
it was so good love the little salute they do and of course Zach Galifianakis.
I wanna tickle your belly button, from the inside.
I think this happened because I didn't like it much at all.

If it would have been cut down to just a 30 minute short film it would have been great.

I loved it. So much so that I think I started a thread about it way back in the day.
