Upcoming Marvel Movies
I found a list of new marvel movies planning to come out. I already knew about Wolverine and Magneto which I am both excited about. Here is the list. Which ones will you go see?
[QUOTE]June 14, 2007 - Marvel Studios has nearly a dozen different movie projects based on their comic book properties in various stages of development. The one guy who has his finger on the pulse of all that is Kevin Feige, the studio's President of Production. We chatted with Feige recently on the Iron Man set, where he dished out the details on so many different comic book movies, it'll make your head spin!
Sub-Mariner: "Jonathan Mostow is doing a rewrite on it, with the intention to direct, and that script should be coming in a few weeks."
Punisher 2: "Lionsgate is putting that one together with us right now. I think we'll be announcing a director probably in the near future and another star in the near future. You know, the only reason I have any interest in doing another Punisher movie is to do a better Punisher movie, and if Marvel thought we couldn't do that, we wouldn't make it."
"We have a director. I think we'd like to announce a director and actor together."
Avengers: "What was preventing certain characters from crossing over in the past was the fact that they were divvied up in different studios and there were giant gates between them where they couldn't play in the same sandbox. Now that we have Hulk and Thor and Cap and Iron Man and Ant-Man, certainly it would indicate to me that it might be fun to see them in the same sandbox at some point. But we're introducing them and building them in their own franchises first."
Power Pack: "I would love to put a Power Pack script into development, actually. I would love to do a PG sort of Goonies-style film -- those are the films that I loved as a kid in the '80s growing up. I would love to do something with Power Pack."
Luke Cage: "We never got a script on Luke Cage while it was at Sony that did it justice from our point of view or [director] John [Singleton]'s point of view. The rights since have reverted back to Marvel, but I would love to do a Luke Cage movie -- again, looking for ways to continue Marvel movies with fresh content and different points of view. I think Luke Cage would absolutely fit into that."
Thor: "Mark Protosevich is doing the Thor script."
Mageneto: "If anyone knows Magneto's history or remembers the first scene in X-Men, it's not the lightest story, so Magneto certainly will have elements that are well-suited for [David] Goyer's take."
Wolverine: "We have not signed a director yet. Fox has not signed a director yet. There are a lot of people in the mix. I think it's very close; I've thought that for four or five weeks now. I think Wolverine will be released [before Magento]."
Spider-Man 4: "Marvel's thoughts are that we couldn't be happier with the success of Spider-Man 3. it's the top-grossing Spider-Man, or will be, of all time, so there definitely will be another Spider-Man adventure. I don't know what that will take, in the discussions with Sony, but I think they're still promoting it in parts of the world and finishing, and I know the whole team is working on the Spider-Man 3 DVD, so we're still very much in finishing Spider-Man 3 mode."
