TV Talk
I'm quite enjoying it, too. War's only cool when it's not happening.

I've always kind of wanted to watch it, but I would forget about it again.
I made a thread about Big Love ages ago but there was little response.
I'm downloading Series 3 as we speak...
Yeah, I can't imagine many culties watch it.
Breaking Bad was interesting last night. It was a little bit slow but they're doing that for suspense purposes. I was mad when the episode was over because now i have to wait a whole week for the continuation.
Anyone watch this HBO movie You Don't Know Jack tonight? Pretty powerful.
Man, i wanted to watch that, had been waiting all week for it, and, somehow, missed it. I reckon they'll be showing it all weekend, though, or it'll be on demand.
I had forgotten how good a filmmaker Barry Levinson was.
I recently watched HBO's Treme pilot and loved it.
Near the end there's a pretty intense "introduction" into the lives of the characters, in music. Goosebumps stuff.
Awesome direction and great acting too, not to mention the fantastic music.
I'm looking forward to discovering how are the writers going to deal with all the themes and characters without loosing people's interest.
"What do you mean 21/8?"
"What, it fucking grooves!"
"It's a Teletubbies jingle you moron!"
Is there more to Californication than Mulder walking around and screwing chicks? The synopsis looked interesting but the advert looked shite.
Oh man I don't even remember posting this but it's awesome.
I've never watched that CSI show before but I really want to see this one tonight. Saw a commercial for it the other day and it showed Bill Irwin with what looked like a pretty big role in it. But I'm screwed! My DVR can only record 2 channels at the same time and I already got it set for Fringe and The Office. How do I choose! Damn you Universe!
Has anyone seen this Through the Wormhole with Morgan Freeman on the Science Channel?
I caught three episodes of it last night. Black Holes, Time Travel and Is There a Creator?
It's like an orgasm for your ears with his voice and then when the words hit your brain and you recognize them it's like another little orgasm for your cerebral cortex nshit!

Love the show, dark matter holds the universe together and dark energy is pulling it apart and will destroy us all one day. Every Galaxy has a Black Hole at the center so in theory Black Holes are responsible for creation and destruction at the same time.

He's come full circle and is going back to his Electric Company roots!
For some reason I always thought that Freaks and Geeks show was supposed to be some Generation X show and whatnot. I didn't know it was set in the 80's. I'm watching this one episode and it's like very autobiographical. On the young and older spectrum of characters. I may start watching these.
Oh man, I love Freaks and Geeks.
i was wondering when someone was gonna mention dexter....dexter's the shit...
i also like supernatural...love the music

Destroy Build Destroy.
Almost too weird to contemplate.
"Let's get this guy...

...and let him loose in a dirt lot with a half dozen pre-teens and several pounds of C-4 plastic explosives."

This is another one of those shows you wish you'd have been there to hear the pitch.
This is why we can't have nice things.
I can't decide if I like this Mary Shelley's Frankenhole show or not yet. All I can figure out is that it is different.
Almost too weird to contemplate.

This made me laugh out loud and get in trouble at work... shh.
You know in all the years I've been here I've never been sigged?

I so wanted to bang this dude 'til..well I meet him and then like a year later i saw him on pitchfork.tv and i swear to god that fucker had a tit!!!!!!!

Looks almost kinda like Dave Grohl actually...
I liked his other show Morel Orel. I caught a piece of Frankenhole and I just couldn't get into it.
Has anyone watched the series Saving Grace. If so whats it like?
Is anyone else going to watch this Event show tonight? They've already ruined it for me with how much they've been pushing it all summer long. It's like every time I see a commercial for it now, all I hear is "Awww Come on, watch it. You don't have Lost to watch anymore so why not watch this one? huh? please? please??" and then with a kind of sad puppy dog whimper afterwards.
Still, I'll probably watch it. I figure it'll probably fall somewhere between V and flashforward. which both suck.
I kind of like Flash Forward and Fringe for my Sci-Fi needs, well that and Caprica.

Fringe is great but flashforward has got nothing. Every year is just going to end with them having another flashforward. Bah!
What do you think about V?

V is going to turn out to be, anytime they need a "shocker/twist" >poof< someone you previously thought was human turned out to be a V the whole time!!! echhhh. sloppy.
Flash Forward got canceled, didn't it?
i'm not really a fan of reality shows, but for some reason, i've gotten hooked on hoarding, buried alive...although in a lot of the cases, i'm thinking it's not so much that the people are hoarders, it's that they are freaking slobs...but it's still entertaining..also, i like the pawn shop shows...

I hate reality TV, too, and kind of prided myself in a snobbish way about never watching it (reflected in my Nielsen log as well), but I DVR/FFWD'd through Last Comic Standing this year because they had some funny people, as long as you skip everything but the actual sets. And now I'm really conflicted, because a friend of mine is on Survivor this season that just started, and I'm giving her shit for forcing me to actually watch it for that reason.
I'm waiting for them to start eating small mammals. The pregnant chick almost ate a cat in the finale.... almost. I just want to see them stick a cat or rat in their mouths..

Which one is she? Survivor is the only reality show I can get behind. and apparently it started last week. Jimmie Johnson is on it!
I wouldn't be surprised. It had to be expensive as hell to do for such a mediocre show.
Flash Forward was totally canceled.
Can't wait for Breaking Bad season 4
Self improvement comes from trimming away the shit, not building up on top of it.

good God, that was almost painful to watch. I usually give shows like this at least 6 episodes to see what they can do, but i think this one is only getting 2.
Yve, the feisty over-40 latina. I used to cast her quite a bit, and she was a regular on this video series I directed a awhile back. Still looks great in a bikini. And it's weird following up on her Facebook page the day after the broadcasts, because of course she's not allowed to reveal how long she made it.
I find Louie on FX funny as fuck during the stand up parts.
And I think in general it is one of the funniest ever.

I honestly forgot all about that show. Did it get canceled already? I haven't seen a single commercial for it since the premiere.

cool. I'll keep an eye out for her and her boobs.
I like Louie's show, it has a charm. The episode with Ricky Gervais was really funny.
Louis was great, I enjoyed every episode. Nate, it got cleared for a second season already.
Watch Hilarious, Louis Ck's stand up film (linked above by wookie). That was one of his best sets yet, it was very truthful comedy with the usual vulgarity.

Stephen King was on Sons of Anarchy tonight...made me smile

If that's the logic we're using, might as well re-boot The Jeffersons, too.
I'd watch the Jeffersons rebooted.
Tyler Perry's The Jeffersons!
That I will not watch.

Yesss, it be so good.
