TV Talk
I read that somewhere and it took me days to realize what it stood for.
Battlestar Galactica.
I'll give the show some credit, though. It's had some effed up deaths/killings and some decent softcore sex scenes.

It's a fairly sexy show.
I havn't been able to watch Sons of Anarchy for a month. It's on too late for me! The last episode I watched *SPOILERS YOU BASTARDS* Juice killed himeself. And from what I've seen on the ads Clay has beaten Gemma up and they're gonna get him for it!
Oh man, I gotta get my hands on this season.
Oh man, I gotta get my hands on this season.
Get on that. You've got stuff to see..
Kostner? Paxton? Looks promising.
Hatfield McCoys

I'm watching Battlestar Galactica, still... still.

how about now?
Still.

Such dedication.
That's me to a fault.

I am in LOVE with 'Girls' on HBO. So much that I honestly could squeeze out tears when talking about how much I love it. Lena Dunham is my new hero.
I've been hearing that show is really good. I might have to check it out.

Oh man, I gotta get my hands on this season.
Get on that. You've got stuff to see..
I got my hands on it! Gonna watch it today. Hurrah!
I haven't seen that but i did see her Tiny Furniture, which was great.

Oh my god. So good.
I can't wait for the next season.
I know!!
I really liked the relationship of Juice and Chibbs.
I haven't seen that but i did see her Tiny Furniture, which was great.
Yeah!! You'll like this even more! Just saw Bret Easton Ellis praising it on Twitter too. It's cool beans. To the max.
It took twelve episodes, but I am fully invested in Battlestar Galactica now.

Bout time!
I really liked the relationship of Juice and Chibbs.
Aw yeah, totally. I couldn't believe it when I saw that Juice was *spoiler* still alive! Yay for that, he's one of my faves, they all are really.
And I loved how Tara was all like "He's mine." to Gemma. Awesome.
It took everything for me not to correct you the first time about Juice, but I wouldn't do that to you.

This was good. I saw the first and third episode but i had to skip the second one because kids were around. Anyway it was really good. The jokes were really unexpected, if that makes sense. I laughed out loud at weird parts. Like when that one girl said her boyfriend acted nicer and nicer and it just made her angrier and angrier.
Are you guys watching Game of Thrones? I'm all about Game Thrones. Game of Thrones.

Yeah, apparently no one else is discussing it any longer. I still watch it, and I had so many OMG moments this season.. Man!
I plan to read/watch it at some point.

I knew you would like it because you are AWESOME. I'm downloading episode 4 today and I'm going to let myself watch it after I've done my story I need to finish.
I saw the second one and it was the funniest one so far. Also thanks.
Can anybody think of any straight up dramas or cop shows that were only 30 minutes long?
Seems like all those shows are always an hour long and only comedies are a half hour.

A dramatic show with a plot that can be somewhat resolved in half an hour would most likely suck hard.
THE BILL!!!!!!

... and yes, it was shit... despite being on tv over 20 years. Cool theme tune though!
Oh, I remember that one from my first visit in the UK, in 1981. Awful.

Hahahaha, The Bill! You're awesome Hattie!
Otherwise, for a 30 min. cop show, just turn off your TV after the cop part of Law and Order, don't watch the lawyer part.

I keep having ideas for shows I want to write but the ideas are rather simple and I see no real way to stretch them out over an hour without packing in a punch of unnecessary side plots and extra characters that don't interest me.

Alfred Hitchcock, if that counts. His show.
Oh! Weeds is a half hour. That's a sort of... dramatic comedy...
You're a dramatic comedy!

Your moth- wait... I am humorous but also somewhat dark? I will take it.
M*A*S*H also fits this category.
I love M*A*S*H.
Also, FYI, because I know you guys want to be updated, but I am on season two of BSG and its pretty great.

That's what I was thinking too. All those 50's-60's cop/detective shows, like Peter Gunn or Route 66 or whatever. No idea if they were an hour or 30 minutes though.
Also, back in the day, HBO used to run 1st and Ten and Dream On. I think those were half hour dramas, but not cop shows.
Speaking of MASH, I was just thinking this morning, of keep remaking tv shows into movies, why not just straight up re-do some older tv shows. I know they've done it before with Star Trek or WKRP or a few others, but those were more of continued series. I mean just a complete reboot. Recast all the characters, and have a wholly separate show. I think it might be interesting as hell to see who they might get to play Hawkeye or Radar nowadays. Plus they'd be able to get rid of the goofy laugh track.
I think it's be a dangerous game to play if they did try re-doing shows though, because if one was really successful, then that's all we'll ever see from now on, same way they did with reality shows.
Also, FYI, because I know you guys want to be updated, but I am on season two of BSG and its pretty great.
It's just getting rolling!
They just ran a commercial for the movie, and it reminded me. I think they tried remaking Dark Shadows a few years ago. I don't think it was a continuation from the old show, but just a re-make. I guess it didn't do to well though.
I'd imagine they'd have better luck with a show like MASH though, instead of something so genre specific.

Me too.
And now you're ahead of me.
Sweet. You're going to enjoy whats ahead!

Wtf, How I Met Your Mother? Wtf?
Damn you plot twist. Damn you.
YES! One of my favorite shows of all time.
