TV Talk
They moved Coronation Street from 7.30 twice a week for an hour, to 5.30 every week night for half an hour. And they've had to edit the raunchy bits for that time too. Terrible! All the old folks home residents are pissed off too because that's their dinner time so they miss it, and I usually can't get home by that time, plus that's when I watch Home and Aaway. Wah.
I'm onto season 2 of The Wire, I'll start watching it this weekend.
I couldn't tell you a single character's name, they were all that blank.
Jesus God Almighty, I just tried watching another episode of this. I don't think there's ever been a show in the history of television that was so much all style/zero substance. I really hope this show flops and is quickly canceled so that I don't have to even accidentally stumble across a commercial for it.
This show is worse than all the Twilight books and movies put together.
You've read and seen them all? That'd be impressive, Nate.
I loooooooove Community.
Also, The Office is a LOT better without Steve Carrell. I really hate saying that, but it's true. I never liked his character at all.

I held each one up to my forehead and absorbed their essence!

They should have gotten that one guy, Packer, to come in as the new boss. Just promoting Andy was pretty insipid.
I don't think so. I think it was actually a pretty good move, considering he really was a good choice for the position on paper, as explained in that episode where the entire warehouse wins the lottery. It's also pretty satirical of the fact that all that usually matters is your qualifications on paper, and how inefficient that can be. It's a hell of a lot more believable than having Michael as boss, but it still provides room for quirky antics that are actually funny. So far, this season's been really good.

Also, he is now their biggest star, since the Hangover movies brought him stardom.

That was the only qualification on paper that got him the gig.

The first Twilight movie is hilarious. Like for real, lots of laugh out loud moments.
Me and the bloke watched the second season of The Wire in 3 days. Yeah, we're into it.
Hey, no one's talking about it, but I'm all caught up on Sons of Anarchy. And it's getting REALLY good.

I'm too lazy to go back to see what you're talking about.

Dexter got really good this week. The new murderer is fucking awesome.

POSSIBLE DEXTER SPOILERS
I'm almost 100% positive the older killer isn't real.

Me and my boyfriend started watching season 2 of The Walking Dead. I haven't seen the first season, but I'm not interested in doing that either. Season 2 is alright so far.
I love Sons of Anarchy! I can't wait for the next season in NZ.
I think we're waiting on season 3.
*SPOILER*
I couldn't believe the end of the last season where the whole club knew about Jax supposedly making a deal with that awful ATF Stahl lady. Love it.
Jax is soooooooooo hot too. Phwoar!

They did something in that second episode that really ticked me off, because it is such a huge goof. Except they may not be doing the same storyline as the comic, which would make it not a goof, so I have to wait a couple more weeks to find out if I'm pissed or not.
I don't think they're really following the comic at this point. They may pick up a few characters and plot points in the future but I think it's safe to consider the TV show it's own thing.
That said, I do hope they follow the comic when it comes to COMIC POSSIBLE SHOW SPOILER killing off Rick's unbearably bitchy wife because I hate her and she needs to die END POSSIBLE COMIC SPOILERS.

I think you're waiting on season 4. I had been taping the new Episodes while renting the season 3 DVDs. Season 4 is great so far. I will not spoil anything like if anyone dies...

Otis going off with Shane, with his rifle, to kill zombies if need be, and Harold standing there on his porch like it's no big whoop.
I'm watching the premier of Hell on Wheels right now. It seems like it's gonna be a great show. I like it already.

I'm going to each that later after The Walking Dead.

I've been watching a lot of MASH here lately and it struck me that if those characters were really real people from the Korean War that they'd probably all be dead by now.
Downloading Hell on Wheels! The trailer looked awesome, but you never know, haha.
Right now, I'm watching Sunshine (such a great movie) on the SciFi Channel. For the last hour of it, they have been going with 7 minutes of the film then 9 minutes of commercials. I've been timing it. I've never seen anything like it! Sure, PBS gets crazy with like 10-15 minutes asking you for money during some of their shows, but this is a pay cable channel!
I'm betting within the next 2 years there'll be some channel that just runs constant commercials across the bottom of the screen, the way they promote new tv shows now. Fucking makes me sick to my stomach.
Anyone watch the show Misfits (BBC) its actually pretty damn entertaining. Not sure about the new character replacing Nate on the new season though but we will see.

I tried watching that new adult swim show, The Heart, She Holler, but it was just too God-awful. 12 minutes for an episode and I couldn't even make it through 3 of them. Barffff!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Hell on Wheels is cool so far, I really like it.
I'm giving Walking Dead 1 more episode for them to find that stupid ass kid before I just give up on the show and just worry about watching the season when it comes out on DVD. I've never seen a show milk such a meaningless plotpoint for so long and just stall the whole thing till it gets resolved.
I don't watch Misfits but that new guy played one of the leading roles in This Is England and the mini series This Is England 86. I loved him in those two, so give him a chance, he's good.

Oh I totally remember that movie. I didn't realize it was the same guy, makes sense though as he was a Punker/Skinhead in that movie.

especially when Whitney will still be aired.

Oh, God I know. That show is on par with House of Payne and all those other Tyler Perry shows. There's a third Tyler Perry show starting! He is now the black, even less funny Seth Macfarlane.

I saw Whitney Cummings somewhere a few months ago and I remember thinking she was pretty okay. Then I saw two minutes of her show and I felt bad for her because I thought it was going to get cancelled in a week. I mean, that show is the opposite of Batman.
It's not like Whitney and Community share an audience... although I am very surprised at how big the former's is...
She is human tennis elbow. She is a pizza burn on the roof of the world's mouth.

Agreed. But it's okay! It's probably coming back next year.
Come on, six seasons and a movie.
AAAAHHHH!!!!!! NOOOOOOOO!!! about the Community thing. Favorite live show, btw.

Seriously. I blame the gif thread but I seem to be unable to express myself without the use of these.

We're all angry and finding it hard to express ourselves.

We'll never know what else happened in the evil alternate Community universe!
I stopped watching Community a few seasons ago. To me it just got stale and unfunny..,.. that and Jeff always found some stupid reason to take his shirt off revealing his freakishly fit physique..... funny people aren't supposed to have 6 packs, they are supposed to look like Jonah Hill dammit.

it's only been on 2 seasons.

I just watched another episode of Person of Interest and I realized that both of those guys together equal Batman. They have the money, the brains, the gadgets, the super computers, the martial arts skills, and the mystery surrounding them. And obviously they are vigilantes.
It still wasn't very good, though.
