I had a thing for Vicky the Robot. Maybe it was cuz she did everything that you told her too. Maybe it was because she had that deep voice. She was the dumpy one with the bowl haircut that always hung out with the lil girl in the red maid's outfit right??
Haha! I always talk about Small Wonder and my friends are like, whaaaa?
Has anyone said Raising Dad and Two of a Kind?
How could anyone forget Two of a Kind? I remember Raising Dad as well, but I agree, no one else seems to.
I used to love Aaahh!!! Real Monsters on Nickelodeon.
I remember watching Monsters!, the no-budget spin-off from Tales from the Darkside, religiously back in the day
Clarissa Explains It All was great in its day. TinTin was a favourite.
Round The Twist!!
and
Eerie Indiana!!
they were badass. I used to have a total crush on the kid from Eerie Indiana (the main character not the ginger friend!)
And Knightmare was just the best
Ooh what about Trev and Simon off Going Live or whichever saturday morning kid's show they were on. I love them.
I watched Round the Twist - the theme song really gets stuck in your head, I still remember it!
I watched Round the Twist - the theme song really gets stuck in your head, I still remember it!
yeah the tune was great! there were some really fucked up episodes in that show. I've just googled it and had a look at the website which has an episode guide. Apparently in series 1 episode 12:
"Pete is inflicted with a bizarre speech defect. He compulsively adds the words "without my pants" to the end of every sentence with hilarious and embarrassing results."
Genius.
anyone who has no idea what this show is...you have check it out!
nice ghost world avatar by the way
You guys are just naming TV shows you used to like.
Dr. Katz. Classic comedy, I think it only aired in Mass because nobody else has heard of it.
I remember Dr. katz. I haven't seen mentions of the classic cartoons "The Mysterious Cities of Gold" or "Spartacus and the Sun Beneath the Sea". Or Danger Mouse.
Or Manimal. Automan.
I still wish I knew what movie that was that was like some early 80s lord of the rings/krull movie where the guy had the sword with 3 blades on it
but then again that was a movie and not a TV show, so thats neither here nor there
You mean The sword and the sorceror? They don't make enough He-Man inspired films anymore...

that may be it, Im going to go chasing this one down either way
I was hoping the IMDB would list the cast as "Elf", "Giant" and whatnot instead of their actual stupid character names! but how many 3 bladed sword movies can there be??
Dr. Katz. Classic comedy, I think it only aired in Mass because nobody else has heard of it.
Really? Cos it aired over here for years.
I'm gonna stop looking at this thread cos you're all dummies.
I'm gonna stop looking at this thread cos you're all dummies.
You know you'll be back just to see how people respond to that.
See? Told you so.
Actually I forgot I said I wasn't going to look at it again. I say a lot of things, it's hard to keep track.
You guys are just naming TV shows you used to like.
True.
no, seriously - then i'd throw out speed racer
nobody here has heard of ultraman or johnny socko and the flying robot, come on

Airwolf (Black helicopter vigilante action series)
Viper (TV show created to promote the Dodge Viper, much like Knight Rider)
Nasty Boys (Based on an actual organization of vigilante Ex-SWAT members in Nevada)
Eek the Cat (Fox Kids morning cartoon that didn't get enough credit)
The Family Dog (All I remember about it is, it was animated, it was hilarious)
No one has the right to teach us stuff we don't want to learn. That's what our Bill of Constitution's all about.
I've heard of ultraman. He didn't come on in Wyoming, but I had an ultraman toy.
The Family Dog seemed funny when I first watched it (I think the original short is still pretty funny), but for me the series didn't hold up when I saw it again recently.
I used to watch Sienfeld like ALL the time!
I loved the show Square Pegs.
Jami Gertz, Sarah Jessica Parker (before she was starved to death), Tracy Nelson. It was an 80s sex symbol parade and damn funny. I remember it being cancelled in its first season, but IMBd has it listed with twenty episodes, so maybe that was my local market. Or maybe I was late to the party.
Great show, though. At least when I was 13 it was great.
When we call soccer 'football' the terrorists have won.
I didn't feel like reading 13 pages, so it might have been mentioned, but my favorite lost show has to be "Beakman's World." I actually found a "Best of" DVD at Wal-Mart about a year ago and it brought back so many memories of early Saturday mornings. Beakman would kick Bill Nye's ass any day.
There was also a magic-type show with, I think, a Russian woman. I can't remember her name to save my life, but I remember it being a good show... I think her name started with an X...
¬ The Magician's Secret
gargoyles was the shit.

Does anyone here even know who The Letter People are?
no.

Electric Company was good, but I bet other people remember it besides me.
When we call soccer 'football' the terrorists have won.
me and my buddies sat here one night looking up a bunch of old shows on youtube and there are actually a lot of them. Watched about a minute of David the Gnome before I got creeped out that they showed him in the bathtub

Yup, there has always been crap TV
[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
i havent see super-president yet, but would pay obscene amounts of money to see it
Pinwheel (it aired on Nickelodeon in the early 80s)
i remember watching a 70's cartoon with just the Thing, no fantastic four. it was really lame, but stupid enough to be funny
thunder in paradise - night rider, but with a speedboat, in hawaii, with a cheesy cops like regae theme, and with hulk hogan. it was like an eight year olds wet dream, although i'm sure it was really shit
and i will defend cop rock to the death
I remember Rambo the cartoon.

Everyone probably remembers it but it was such a great show and I miss it so much, it was like my favorite thing to watch as a kid. Tales from the Crypt, didn't they make a cartoon out of that too, HBO should bring back the cryptkeeper.
I remember Rambo the cartoon.
there was also several robocop cartoons, and, my favorite (both on its own merrit and for the WTF THATS NOT A KIDS MOVIE, THAT SHITS HARDCORE!! factor) the toxic avenger (the show was called toxic crusader, because avenger sounded to "violent". i guess avenger is the saturday morning cartoon equivalent of the f-bomb)
oh, and if i said i wanted Philidelphia action figures, i DEFFINATELY want to see a Philidelphia cartoon. Tom hanks dog Sparky the AIDS hound would be so adorable
I used to watch Legends of the Hidden Temple on nickelodeon in like the mid-nineties.. there was a talking tiki face stone wall named Omar, who gave riddles, and a bunch of teams who had to make it across a steaming swamp, and then play different games in order to be the last one, and to make it to the temple; which was this labryinth like jungle thing.. and hardly anyone ever made it all the way through.
a bunch of kids dressed up as contestants on this show for halloween. those costumes rocked. they got into it too, like instead of just walking tothe trash can punch, they would weave around party guests, grab onto the stai railing, grab some plastic cups, climb under the table, roll out the back door, leap frog to the trash can, then stack the cups in wierd ways like it was the silver monkey, and then, and only then, would they drink trash can punch.
do you remember the video game game show that came on right after it, where the winning team would be put on a giant in studio toy store where everything had velcro taped to it, and the kids had velcro suits on,and they would have a minute to grab anything they could and then slide down a slide before time ran out and hope that in the addrenaline frenzy they didnt pass over the nintendo system and pick up a yo-yo. if runnign out of time in legends of the hidden temple, you would be mildly shamed, but stil would probably be a god on the playground, but if you passed up the nintendo system or even the nerf gun for a yo-yo, DAMB, i dont even think those kids parents talked to them for a while. you dont even have the excuse of athleticism. you just fucked up.
does anyone remember Pinwheel?
you have to describe the show. nobody remembers the names to teh obscure shows.
by the way, the show i was talking about was called nickelodeon television. i inspired myself to look it up on wikipedia. i was supprised not only by the lameness of the title relative to the percieved awesomeness of the show, but also by how apparently i was wrong, and apparently that ultra cool part i was thinking about had nothing to do with that show. leehaahii, i will find the real show. this is my quest
it's just some olds kids show from nickelodeon
not nickelodeon shows but great nonetheless...
The New Zoo Revue
The Great Space Coaster
ok, so cool
i posted ultraman and johnny socko and land of the lost
1. great ultraman ad during the superbowl
2. chakka (from LOL) has been on "the soup" like every week lately
HA! weird
Miller: A lot o' people don't realize what's really going on. They view life as a bunch o' unconnected incidents 'n things. They don't realize that there's this, like, lattice o' coincidence that lays on top o' everything. Give you an example; show you what I mean: suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.
Otto: You eat a lot of acid, Miller, back in the hippie days?
Miller: I'll give you another instance: you know how everybody's into weirdness right now?...

The Flying house. Never caught a full episode but it seemed to be about time traveling Christian children who participated in biblical events.

I remember Mork and Mindy and the Wonderley Wagon, vaguely.
