TV shows you remember and absolutely nobody else does
What was that show with the dinasaurs who were a family? It looked kinda like a claymation. Damn i forget what it's called.
Dinosaurs.
There is hope, but not for us.
the one I'm thinking of has a puppet for the night watch man and a mannequin who wears a flimsy cloth hat that, if removed, immobilizes him, at either the best or worst possible moment (as usual in such shows).
Yep, that was Today's Special. And I remember now, the mouse/rat's name was Muffy. I remember that because in my dream where she was my pet, I was first dreaming about earmuffs, and then it turned into her.
Anyone remember "The Adventures of Brisco County Jr." which starred Bruce Campbell of the Evil Dead trilogy. Its one of my Dad's favorite TV shows ever. It only ever saw three seasons a decade ago.
That was the first show that made me very sad to see it get cancelled.
i remember this disney show called 'under the umbrella tree' with an iguana, bluebird, and some woodland creature who lived in a tree. and no one remembers count duckula either. i was obsessed with that show as a kid.
I think the girl woodland creature was a gopher.
I hated Count Duckula because it sucked compared to Danger Mouse. Now that cartoon my freinds, was the shit.
I loved Eureka's Castle! Remember Magelon the dragon. And Battly who would always crash into stuff and say "I meant to do that."
I hated Hey Dude.
The Adventures of Pete and Pete ruled. "I'm Artie the strongest man...in the world!"

Salute Your Shorts was great. Remember the camp counselor, Ug? And Butnick and Donkey Lips (brother of Origami Lips).
I watched all of these shows AND remember them. They need reruns. There's a Nickelodeon show for their old gameshows like GUTS, but they never show the old non-gameshows...like Clarissa Explains it All. Hell, they don't even show What Would You Do? which I loved.
Anyone watch Rainbow Brite? And do you remember the live action movie? I wish I still had that on tape. I loved Rainbow Brite. What's with all of the Rainbow Brite paraphanalia these days? Damn them for exploiting her! I want the show back!
I can't for the life of me remember any of the names of the weird shows that I watched as a kid, though. Oh well.
This isn't a show, it's a skit on Sesame Street. NOBODY knows what I'm talking about. It's like there was a blue one and a pink one, and they were just weird little alien things, and would go "OOOOOOooooooooooohhhh" at stuff. They had stringy stuff hanging down for their bodies, and then they would sway back and forth. I remember one time it was a grandfather clock they were "ooh"ing at, when it bonged they sat there all speechless and everything. Then bonged over and over.
I need a picture of this so I can show people I'm not crazy.
One of the cultists used to have them as an avatar. They were the "Yip Yips", aliens who would beam down to earth and become fascinated with some sort of device that made a noise.

"Yip-yip-yip-yip-yip-yip-yip-yip-yip-yip!!! Uh-huh! Uh-huh!"
No British people seem to remember Mork and Mindy, which upsets me. I had a whole summer of watching that and The Monkees tv series. No one remembers this really cool very early 90s cartoon about King Arthur either. One other person remembers Knightmare, which was this gameshow with all these sort of 8year old dungeons and dragons geeks- that rocked.
I remember all these except the King Arthur one. That nightmare show had that dude with the beard and the kids with stupid big helmets on their heads while the other little kids (usually including some fat kid with the debris of whotsits around his chubby digits) would be shouting, “left two steps! Right two steps! Right two steps! No, right two steps!!! You've gone in a circle!!!!!"
Remember any of these Snow?
Maid Marion (it had the cat out of Red Dwarf in it).
The Moomins.
Button Moon - We’re off to Button Moon, we’ve followed Mr Spoon, Button Moon – be back soon – Button Moooooooonnnn.
Metal Mickey - It was about a robot from outer space that stayed with a family in Brixton (I think) and all it did was eat fiz bombs (ahhh fiz bombs) and say Shazbot!
Chorlton and the Wheelies.
Jamie and the Magic torch (Jamie! Jamie! Jamie and his magic torch. bab bab bow!)
My Two Dads.
"Perfect Strangers" starring Bronson Pinchot and Mark Linn-Baker. It was about a Mediterranean sheepherder who comes to the United States and lives with his distant cousin in Chicago. Anyone?
What was that other 80’s TV show starring Jason Bateman (who later went on to star in Teenwolf 2)?
Battle of the planets - One of them had Turrets remember? One of them ate burgers – a lot? They all played in a funky band at the end of every episode? G Force!
Rhoda.
Crystal tips and Alistair.
Pigeon Street.
Mr Ben.
Terror Hawks.
Ghostbusters – the cartoon.
Dangermouse!
Number 42 – Saturday morning kids show.
Picture Box (scary).

I remember mork and mindy, the best thing robbin williams ever did.
I miss the tick cartoon.spooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooon

ok I got it. The absolute best show nobody remembers. Or at least nobody thinks about anymore.

The Ernest P. Worrell TV show. I think it was called Hey Vern,It's Ernest!. Vern was the guy behind the camera that we never saw and Ernest always talked to. It's a damn shame Jim Varney is dead now.
You will never be famous.
He kinda looks like Chuck.

Every single time I go to my brother's house, his big screen plasma widescreen tv is blaring full house reruns. It's like there's a full house channel withnothing but that. His wife says it's "for the kids", but she seems to be the only one in the room watching it when it's on...

That would be he
I couldn't see him as Stan either till I saw it for myself and was amazed
Too bad the movie is so crappy, though. Maybe I'll see if I can find any still shots of him as Stan, or did he mostly just capture Stan's essence as opposed to looking like him? I don't know why I'm so curious about this, but I am.

Let's all just make a Laurel & hardy remake movie. What a dumb fucking idea. Almosty as bad as making Rocky & Bullwinkle live-action...

Bah. I never said the movie was a good idea or that I even want to see the blasted movie. I just want to see what Bronson Pinchot looks like as Stan Laurel because as I told karb, I just can't make that connection. But I'll live just fine if I don't see that, either.

Ha-ha. They still show re-runs of Knightmare on digital tv actually:'Challenge TV'? When I babysit I watch it for hours. The graphics were cutting the edge for it's time.
Don't know Maid Marion. I loved the cat in Red Dwarf though, he was the best character, then followed by Rimmer (who I met in Harrods once).
Moomins was one of my favourites. I loved them so much, especially Snorkin? (the fisherboy) The girl moomin was irritating though, and so was Little Mi.
Ghostbusters rocked, of course.
Just remember the proper name of the King Arthur cartoon...Prince Valiant. It was a real mind-fuck, actually. How come you watched so much 80s kid's tv? Surely you were in your teens back then?
remember that show on fox & the sci fi channel called 'sliders'? i used to watch it with my stepdad all the time...
Sliders was okay, had a pretty good concept, then became terrible.
What?
Full House... I had a crush for Candace Cameron. What has become of her ?

I saw a movie with her in it where she had an abusive boyfriend. He eventually killed her and weighed down her body with rocks and threw it in a lake. The boyfriend was played by one of the Savage brothers. Very Lifetime Channel.
There is hope, but not for us.
I saw a movie with her in it where she had an abusive boyfriend. He eventually killed her and weighed down her body with rocks and threw it in a lake. The boyfriend was played by one of the Savage brothers. Very Lifetime Channel.
Nooo fucking way hahah!
i remember seeing that shit, i thought they were cement blocks?
but anyway that made me sad for a number of days, i was so scarred, cos they showed her body, all blue and dead.
and then like that same week i saw another abusive lifetime made for tv movie with Tiffany Amber Thiessen, that was a quite a week.
I think if there was one cartoon out there to touch in on what the lesbian community was heaving about in the 90s, it was the angry beavers.
Maybe it was cinderblocks, I don't remember. I watched it about 4 years ago. It was pretty awesome though.
There is hope, but not for us.
i also remember this little cartoon skit on Nickelodeon, it had this little girl in pigtails swinging on a swing in her backyard, the little girl was a daredevil so she decides to to go faster and higher and soon she makes a whole loop up and around the swing set and when she comes back down she's inside out, all you can see is her red muscle meat and her veins and her eyeballs are really white, it was demented but funny to me.
I remember this. If I recall correctly, it was in between the 'bigger' shows on SNICK; joining the ranks of such shows as "KABLAM!" featuring Stinky Diver (he was french, bwaha).

The show was called "Inside-Out BOY". He, as you correctly pointed out, swung too far over the swings and turned himself inside out. That was his superpower. Creeped out a lot of robbers and girls, although not all girls. Some dug him despite his crew cut. proof
Anyone remember M.A.S.K.? For some reason, I think Brock would, but I have no idea why. They sat at a round table and then put on their masks (helmets) and jumped into their vehicles, which turned into different things. For example, I remember a motorcycle turning into a helicopter.

Anyone ever watch "Millenium," or as it became its last season 'x files lite' ?
The show was called "Inside-Out BOY". He, as you correctly pointed out, swung too far over the swings and turned himself inside out. That was his superpower. Thanks, Diabe, i got Penny with the penny eyes mixed up with our little inside out boy...member penny? i think she belonged to peewee's playhouse
"wow i really love this toaster"
"well, then why dont you marry it?"
"Maybe i will"
i loved loved loved peewee's playhouse
and through that link you can see AGHHH! Real Monsters, that some nostalgic shit for ya, that was a gross cartoon, member the little fat guy that held up his eyes?
I totally forgot Penny! She was cool. I remember being very afraid of PeeWee's Playhouse. Damn couch was going to eat any fucker who was dumb enough to sit on it.
PeeWee's Couch + Talking Toilet from Look Who's Talking Too = Nightmares From Hell
And yes, AGHHH! Real Monsters was cool. But the damn main character bunny thing kept pissing me off. For a monster, he sure doesn't have much confidence, so I was always like "Don't you know you're a monster, fucker? You can EAT your damn teacher if you didn't do your homework!" Plus their homework was cool. I sure would have liked for my teacher to say "now, class, your homework is to scare THREE little girls this weekend." Whiny bitch...frazza fragga...
I cussed like that as a kid, just in case you were wondering. Taught me to be clandestine early on
