Ok, I'm bored so you all have to suffer, this is where you feel free (read: obligated) to post your top five songs for any band that you want, or just post your all time top five songs if you're capable of such a thing.

Up in arms isn't a radio single and it's their best song, I would've put Maybe Just Once and Complication on the Nine Inch Nails list but the others won out at the last minute. Like I said, I have bad taste. Also, never in my life have I heard Elliott Smith on the radio.
Since they seem to be popular...
Smashing Pumpkins
1. Hummer
2. Luna
3. Disarm
4. Tonight, Tonight
5. 1979
Radiohead
1. Let Down
2. Pyramid Song
3. Polyethylene
4. Idioteque
5. There There
Tool
1. Eulogy
2. Lateralis
3. Stinkfist
4. H
5. Schism
Nine Inch Nails

2. The Fragile
3. Hurt
4. Closer
5. Somewhat Damaged
Rage Against The Machine
1. The Ghost of Tom Joad
2. Guerilla Radio
3. Microphone Fiend
4. Calm Like A Bomb
5. Killing In The Name Of
Then again, I might be wrong.
Plastic- I'm a big fan of Idiotheque too.
Alex- Maybe Just Once?? Now I know you have bad taste. The only NIN thing I like less than that is March of the Fuckheads off the Closer to God single. Although Maybe Just Once is an alright track, it's one of the worst things he did, in my opinion.
And they play Elliot Smith like every four minutes on the only radio station I ever listen to up here.
Never get so attached to a poem you forget truth that lacks lyricism.
Then again, I never listen to the radio, I might if they played Elliott Smith as often as they do over there. Dammit, forgot The Fragile and Ruiner too, maybe trying to narrow bands down to five is a bad idea. And while I may have bad taste, at least I have bad taste in decent bands which is more than can be said for a lot of people.
This is true. What did you think of Still?
Personally, it's my favorite thing he's done. The Fragile comes in at an almost tie. I know a lot of people hated Still with a fiery passion.
Never get so attached to a poem you forget truth that lacks lyricism.
Never heard Still, I've only had an interest in Nine Inch Nails for about two months so I've yet to get alot of their songs since I'm cheap and download them, I'll go find it now and tell you.
Also, forgot Down in It. Fuck it all. Also, some of the things he did with David Bowie were pretty cool too.
Still is good, wouldn't make my top five, maybe not the top ten, but it's better than Maybe Just Once I'll give you that. (yeah I know I'm contradicting myself)
I posted about the Foo Fighters and everyone else posted about Radiohead.
Foo Fighters? OK
1. Everlong
2. Monkey Wrench
3. Times Like These
4. Learn to Fly
5. My Hero
All singles...but the only CD I own is The Colour and the Shape and the ones from the list are still the best on there.
Then again, I might be wrong.

Vampires? Why did you have to mention vampires? that's exactly what the work i can't be bothered to do is about! (don't get me wrong, i love them. It's just the idea of having to write 5.000 words about them)

5,000 words is only like 10 pages, Lupus. You'll be fine. It's three hours work.

Continuing my obsession, Alex, I think I love you...

What do you mean only 10 pages? And it's not just three hours, more like 2 days. I won't be fine... I have been coming in this damn computer lab for ages. I come in the afternoon, check mails, decide to work. I look at my notes, realise I don't really have an argument, get sick og it and log on the Internet. Waste my whole time (hating myself but unable to stop). Watch the sunrise. Realise I am too tired to work. Marvel at vampiric bloodshot eyes. Hate myself some more. Give up and go home to sleep for a few hours, get up and drag my ass to the lab again. Repeat.
Why am I bothering you with all this?
I just feel so... I want to give it all up, crawl somewhere and pass into a coma.

would love to chat sometime re: tom robbins.
lupus, good luck w/ that paper...
If you know what you're going to write, it's a three hour paper. If you've got a vgue idea, maybe four hours. Or maybe I just have a really fucked up way of writing papers.
3.000 words averages out to about 9 pages, so maybe 5,000 is more like 15. I guess I misspoke. Sorry.

Would also love to chat RE: Tom Robbins.

Well, always takes more than three hours even if know what I'm going to write about. Don't forget that apart from everything else, I don't write in my mother tongue.
With 'only' I meant that even 10 pages is rather a lot. (I'm really curious to see what'll happen with my 20.000 words dissertation. maybe I'll manage to finish it before the Olympics...)
Anyway, enough with my nagging. I promise not to mention it again.
Thanks for the support, people!

one final note....i have to tell you that you have a better command of english than some of our cult members, so i think the not writing in your mother tongue is a little bit of a cop-out.
Now everytime I read your posts I hear an eastern european accent. Not that you specified where you are from or anything, but that's what you got stuck with. Deal with it.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, moe. Fuck, there goes one of my best excuses.
Disx, if you don't know where I'm from, what makes you think my accent is eastern european? I can deal with it. Accents are sexy...

Continuing the hijack:
1. The Cult (duh)

Ooooookay.

"Disx, if you don't know where I'm from, what makes you think my accent is eastern european?"
I don't know. It just happened. Life is random. Start dealing.
Cos they're a million times better than either of those bands? Dur.
