The Twilight Sad
Excellent band I was recently switched on to by a friend.
Saw them in a pub as part of their warm-up for a tour with Mogwai.
Loud as fuck and so, so good.

For whatever reason, I am naturally disinclined to listen to a band called The Twilight Sad. I'm sure that's my own failing, but dig - suppose I listened to them and they became, like, my favorite band ever... I'd be embarrassed to wear the t-shirt! A living hell, says I. No, thank you.
This is why we can't have nice things.
They have some alright tracks, but for me it gets a bit samey after a while. I hate to sound like an awful hipster, but the first EP they released is far and away the best thing they've done.
Tuffy; The t-shirts I have don't have the band name. One is graphics based on the Sonic Youth/Goo album. The other simply says 'Prostitute".
_kit; They change over each ep/album. The next one, the vocalist has said "the wall of noise is gone"

Admittedly I've not heard the newest stuff and I didn't give the second album much of a listen because it seemed very similar to the first.
I do like the overtly Scottish accent that comes through on the vocals. I get drawn to that kind of thing. See: Glasvegas, Arab Strap, etc.
So, I have two of their shirts already. Huh.
