This is only a teaser trailer, I wouldn't expect it to make much sense.
I looked it up on Wikipedia. Sean Penn as a child loses his innocence after a death. As an adult he is disillusioned with the world and eventually learns to forgive his father and enjoy the wonders of the world again.
I'd like to see this, but I also need to stop seeing movies that make me cry.

Yeah but this trailer makes the movie look REALLY boring. Like "The Fountain" boring.
I liked The Fountain. It wasn't perfect by any means, and it obviously didn't end up being the movie that Aronofsky had originally intended, but I liked it.
The Fountain was amazing, and although the Tree of Life looks meh, it is directed by Malick, who is brilliant, so I'll be seeing it.
