The Mars Volta - Bedlam in Goliath
I just bought the LP versions of Amputechture and Frances the Mute to frame and hang in my bands practice space.
Needless to say I am excited about the new record. 3 songs have been leaked/released, Goliath is superb.
Think for yourself. Question Authority.
After Amputechture I completely burnedout on these guys. When Frances the Mute came out I picked up Deloused with it. I became completely enthralled with the Volta, listening to both those records nonstop. By the time Amputechture hit stores, the obession had faded out to a little more than a casual interest. I saw them with the Chili Peppers when they came to Toronto and was unimpressed. They had successfully went from respect to novelty.
Still, despite the ridiculous title of this album, I'll probably check it out in hopes stirring some nostalgia.
pretty much my favourite band...me and Sam went to see them earlier this year and it was AMAZING!
