Yeah, they are really good. Which is saying a lot because I pretty much dislike the bands the members have been in prior.

They suck, fucking emo schmucks.

Best thing that has happened in 2003, in any format. Better than Diary! I'm seeing them October 10th. I may die that day. We shall see.

Emo is the dumbest, trendiest new buzzword to come about. I know the term has been around for a long time, but now people are saying "Oh he dresses emo." or "Oh he's so cute and emo." or "Oh that emo band totally rocks." How fucking stupid.

I agree with you partly. I hate the connotation that the word has come to mean, and I hate a lot of the music that's been associated with it that's not, well, emo. But I like it better than most other current genres, and I dislike the fact that it's become one of those 'trendy to hate' cultural icons.

There's nothing trendy about hating a trend. That's like saying that loathing corporations like McDonalds or Shell is trendy.

Anything associated with emo sucks.

there are very few things associated with emo that sucks. all i can think of is really shitty mainstream-poppy-emo. that crap really sucks.

Emo classifies so many different types of music that it's become empty. Who gives a shit? God I hate genres.
