The last film you bought:
I love series 1-3 of coupling!! but what I have seen of series 4 seems really poor and old... Without Jeff the show kinda sucks.
I agree, but I've only one episode. Still got the cool chronology/messing-around-with-film-techniques typa thing, but it did all feel a little forced.
I never thought I'd miss Jeff, I never thought he provided that many laughs and felt 2d, but...
We'll see, when the series has finished.

Based on my forceful recommendation, I'm sure.
And the American version of Coupling sucked with a capital suck.

All of the above. Commentary has Danny Boyle, Ewan McGregor, the screenwriter and a producer, I think. Plus its got 3 or 4 making of featurettes.
Good shit...

There's a Tomie 4? I saw the first one, I was bored and grossed out, yet it didn't get me to the point of thuroughly disturbed. How are the other ones?
Last movie I got was the Post Cards from the Future. It inspired me to start posting. Before that is was "The Princess and the Warrior." It's my all time favorite now, for some reason after I see it I want to do laps of stand on a very tall building.
If one was to fall in love with you,
That is, if one were so inclined,
Would you love one in return as well,
Or would you be to one unkind?

Both of those films left me flaccid and limp... good concepts, decent acting, something just went horribly awry...

Mason: I like her

It's pretty cool animation wise, but it's basically just a french film about the tour de france and wierd french people... and the main song is SO annoying... but other than that, it's like a cool foreign film except animated and sorta more for kids... I mean, it's got a lot of smoking and people blowing up and eating frogs and stuff but no nudity or anything, just a bunch of typical frenchie characters with long noses and all swarthy and smelling badly, but it's well worth watching, I just couldn't sit through it more than once...

< this kid is the story... he is a sad kid who doesn't like anything but then his wierd grandma buys him a bike and that's it, he's hooked, and before you know it he's the world's greatest bicycle rider and is an adult and has huge leg muscles, then he gets kidnapped by gangsters and then, well, giving away much else would be spoiling, but sufficeit to say, the no nudity thing I said earlier, it's got a black african woman dancing naked with big floppity afrika bambaataa boobies all over the place, lots of fat french women cleavage too..
There's a Tomie 4? I saw the first one, I was bored and grossed out, yet it didn't get me to the point of thuroughly disturbed. How are the other ones?
There's actually five in all, I've seen 1, 2, 4 and part of three. 2 is pretty good, it's a little better than the first one, and the fourth one is actually my favorite. It's three short stories about Tomie. From what I can tell, the movies don't really go in any sort of order with the exception of the first one. I get the feeling the first movie happened before the others.
Tomie certainly isn't the greatest series I own, but it's decent. I kind of find the movies a little funny. I mean, here's Tomie, she's clearly a demon, or "Bakemono" and yet it seems she really has no other goal in her immortal life than to randomly fuck shit up. She appears, chaos ensues, she dies a couple of times, and does the whole thing over again somewhere else.
To get back on topic -- I recently bought Tattooed Life and Eko Eko Azarek 3. Tattoo was awesome, and ended in a Kill Bill style yakuza battle much to my enjoyment. Eko Eko 3 was decent, but not as good as the first two.

This, my darling Grump Face, is the precise reason I couldn't give you a firm balls-on recommendation about that show when we talked about it. I feel bad you wasted your cash, but I told you I couldn't remember enough about the episodes I saw to feel confident enough that you would like 'em, so I'm not taking credit for anything; you're on your own with this one, mirthy.
