The last film you bought:
3rd last: Donnie Darko
2nd last: Chiansaw Massacre III (which I will be trading with our old friend Knoxville for the ultra rare Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas)
1st last: The Thomas Crown Affair

I just watched The Thomas Crown Affair the other night. Well, I mean, I didn't watch it, I actually fast-forwarded it to the boobs, but I got the gyst.
I don't remember the last film I bought, but it might have been 28 Days Later or Lost In Translation.
I do know that the next ones I'm planning to get: Big Fish and Eternal Sunshine...

Anyone seen Ikaru by Kurosawa? Heard it's really good and I've seen three or four of his other flicks, but they're all sort of in the fuedal Japan era-style, and I know Ikaru is nothing like this, so I want to know some people's opinions if they've seen it.

Update: My Sleepaway Camp box set just came in, and it is the discontinued "Red Cross" version.
Why is this important to me? I don't know.
the big lebowski. i could watch that movie every day, i think. actually, i know i could, because i do.
I got Bound and Sleeping With Sharks for a two for £10 deal.
I bought Van Wilder a couple weeks ago since it was only $10. Before that, I think it was.... Mallrats?
I'm more into downloading movies these days =\
The last film I bought is now The Usual Suspects Special edition DVD.
£8.99. I took a small calculated risk, having never seen it before.
I enjoyed it.

I bought the believer this weekend and gawd what a heart wrenching movie...Ryan Gosling did a tremendous job and summer phoenix was her beautiful dry self i just loved this movie a ton.
Panic Room (special edition) - It came with a coupon for a free dvd out of certain titles like Black Hawk Down (pass), Close Encounters of..(pass), Lawrence of Arabia (pass), Dr. Strangelove (haven't seen yet, but I like Kubrick so this was my freebie). What erks me about buying this dvd is that its my second time buying Panic Room because those people at the money grabbing soul taking movie studio released the better version two years later than the first version.
I just bought the first season of "Six Feet Under" on DVD. I got it used so it was pretty cheap. I've only seen one episode before but I've heard and read great things about this series.
Gothika.
More Dark Castle movies!

I've heard a lot of great things about Gothika, but I really, really hate Halle Berry, so I'll probably never see it. I'm like one of those people who doesn't "get" her. I don't see the appeal. You know how on tv shows or in conversations dudes are alwayslike 'Halle is hot!' and I just don't "get" it. She doesn't have phenomenal breasts. Her body is so-so. Nothing really sticks out about her... not her face, nothing. Everytime I think of the name Halle Berry I think boring... I think robot.. I think, well, she just seems so, like cookie-cutter and plastic, like she came off an assembly line. Like she's too perfect...

I totally splurged this weekend and got myself the DVD set of the first and only season of Freaks and Geeks, which I adore and still lament it was taken off the air. And because I'm starting to be under the influence of a very bad seed, I got Blazing Saddles for free.

i just ordered Battle Royale, it better be good.
i also just ordered Hero (the DVD-9 version), when i saw Kill Bill Vol 2 they showed a trailer to it which boosted my interest in the movie.
~ Stick
^both good movies.
Jesus's Son (I've heard it's shit, but I've got the book and wanted to see how it compared).
Madalena starring Monica Bellucci. It was directed by Giuseppe Tornatore who did Cinema Paradiso, and similarly like CP, it is set in a small Italian town during world war 2, and deals with unrequited love, and coming of age.
Plus, Monica is perfect in this.

It's called Malena and she's a total hot slut in it. I love the Cinema Paradiso dude's movies. They are all about horny teenage boys and older hot slut's. I don't think he's ever made a film that isn't about some young kid with a mature older woman in his life as a sex object...

Isn't student loan money supposed to be used on school? That's OK. I didn't spend all mine on books and such, either.
Kill Bill Vol. 1
Dawn of the Dead
A really cheesy-looking B- horror flick about a woman conducting werewolf experiments on her boyfriend who may or may not already be dead or something. I think it might be Italian. I don't know. I can't remember, nor can I remember the title. I can only remember I got it at Walgreen's for $2, and gave it to my brother.

I thought it was ok. Only ok. Maybe people pumped it up too much. I liked Bill Murray in it, but the storyline was rather weak. It was adequate enough to watch whilst I was painting, but if I was in the cinema, I'd nod off now and then. I have to say that I prefer The Royal Tenenbaums.

Shows you how captivating Monica Bellucci was in that film. I mean, they must of said her name about fifty times and it's on the fucking cover, and still I didn't take it in! Just those hips and tits.

are you kidding? some of my friends are rabid flesh eating zombies and they love the lost boys. i'm not a huge horror fan, but the lost boys is classic.
I've not watched it since hairs sprouted out at the base of my cock, but what I remember of it, I'd have to agree with Big S.
The Blue Monkeys are coming
Well, I've yet to watch it. But I bought it for the obvious bad 80s vibe, and to see Kief as a vampire. Went something like this:
Me: "Hey, lookit this. Some bad 80s vampire movie."
Best Friend: "...Is that who I think it is?"
Me: *blinks* "Yes. Buy."

Dead or Alive 1
Dead or Alive 1 was great, but I prefered DOA: 2. I loved the school play scene.
I did end up buying Sanjuro and also The Happiness of The Katakuris which I have already seen but is fun fun fun!
Everyone's going on about how much they loved 21 Grams, I enjoyed it I guess, but I don't think I was in the right frame of mind to be emotionally involoved with the plot... I HAVE A HEART OF STONE!
