The 70's !
Brit Indie/Pop/90's music ..........
people, people, people,
fuck the 90's!
Let's talk about the beginning of music, well the good stuff
The 70's rock my world man, I would kill to have it be the 70's!
drugs ...... sex, the store
........ punk, and other great music .......
Let's discuss about how it used to be, when punk was a ground breaking movement, a real rebellion and not just some fashion trend worn by anybody
"I did it because I'm a dirty dog"
outside is great..the return of eno really helps push that one through, and i love the hearts filthy lesson as well as hallo spaceboy..
my favorite, as an entire album, is aladdin sane, which occured in the 70s.. its genius imo, but the new stuff is great too.. i like pretty much everything thoughout the career, with the exception of some very late 80s/early 90s stuff. heathen is a masterpiece, and reality drops sept 12th, which is the most exciting thing ever.
maybe i will put the origination of the quote on the sig itself so as not to be confusing anymore.. always watching. judging. look at the baby. look at the baby.
anyway, back to the 70s.. lou reed..iggy pop.. the clash.. the godfather.. kubrick.. omg.
with a bit of luck, his life was ruined forever. always thinking that just behind some narrow door in all of his favorite bars, men in red woolen shirts are getting incredible kicks from things he'll never know.
The Godfather is one of the best movies ever, although I didn't like the third one
Iggy Pop is one of my hero's in the fact that he cut himself also
and he is an awesome artist ..... odd when you first hear the music
how can you forget the Sex Pistols!
Any Sex Pistol fans here? Did anyone see Jimmy Kimmel Live on the 4th I think it was
I'm in love with everything about the 70's .........
I've told people that if it were the 70's I would drop out of school, move to the UK and be a groupie
Did anyone watch all of the "I love the 70's" on vh1, I thought it was cheap how they told punk in 30 seconds ......... and they really didn't say much about anything just acknowledged that it happened
I felt cheated ........ I still do
"I did it because I'm a dirty dog"
rofl, I feel better after seeing that
knowing that people actually acknowledge my presence meakes me feel good, so thank you
now, I'm gonna go back to hitting rock bottom and listening to Led Zepplin and the Sex Pistols ....... Bodies .....
I'm a failed abortion ...... damnit .......
"I did it because I'm a dirty dog"
Fuck the 90s?
Talk about the 70s??
I thought the 90s were all about people wanting to relive the 60s and 70s, and trying to replace any new youth culture, squash any new style and replace it with a rehash of 60's/70s culture.
Nancy you are being SO 90's with this whole 70s obsession.

the 90's were filled with rap and the grunge look or whatever you must and that damn mtv
talk about a channel that should be banned
mtv doesn't have videos anymore it's just shitty shows like the real world and punked
The style now ....... it's pathetic ..... it consists of everything until now mixed up and it has been regurgitated to form some teen pop bullshit where people don't really write music anymore or can't play music that sounds good
I'm not saying the 90's were terrible because ........ they weren't totally bad
And I am also a big fan of the 80's
I guess when writing this I just wanted to get my point across that the 70's rocked

"I did it because I'm a dirty dog"
Frank. Zappa.
Frank Zappa is awesome ....... Moon Unit Zappa ........ MwAhahAhAhHAhAaaa
"I did it because I'm a dirty dog"
frank zappa is god of everything.

The world came to an end in 1968.

Was Animal House made in the seventies? Or was that later?

That is not the point ...... We study what happened
No one has to be there, it's like history .... well it is .....
You don't have to be there to know what it was like
"I did it because I'm a dirty dog"

So this is what the 70s were like. A few people blurting out the names of popular music acts of the time.
Must say, it doesn't live up to its reputation.
I think I mentioned this in the decade thread, but here we go again:
Studio 54, cocaine culture, hotpants, cheesy pornos, roller rinks, disco, Led Zeppelin, polyesther suits, Blaxpoitation, the slang, brown leather jackets, Farah Faucet, Son of Sam, Star Wars, Saturday Night Fever, Queen, Batman the cheesy tv show, John Beluchi, SNL, Skateboarding, Bo Derek, pop rocks, The Godfather, oh Warriors come out and playeeeaaaay, Dr. J, The Gong Show, Kiss, Watergate, Vietnam, McDonalds, Mohamed Ali, etc... etc.... and so on and so forth
