Spy kids 3D, contrary to whatever you may think
IS SHIT.
But I did see tomb raider two, and that was good just because I was so baked I couldn't even get up to go buy junior mints.
You should have your own column in The New York Times. Maybe a film critic TV show.
Seriously. Your observations = Witty, notable, and very in-depth.
hey.
That's all Spy Kids 3D requires though. It IS shit.
horrid shit?
I saw Tomb Raider 2 last week, I hated it. But while buying the ticket I saw a stack of 3-D glasses and asked the young girl running the cash register, "Whats in 3-D?"
Her reply, "Spy Kids." I almost wanted to exchange my ticket, just because it was 3-D, but I didn't. Either way, I probably would've still been dissapointed at the end.
We'd all like some real friends, but what are the odds of that happening?--Cheif Wiggum
Well it was a kids movie.
So, you know... unless you have the intelligence of a 10 year old, I don't think it's quite aiming at your age group. Hell, I've seen the first Spy Kids and I disliked it (But can obviously see why kids would like it).
I think a 17-80 year old saying Spy Kids 3D is 'Shit' just seems a bit irrelevant. Maybe that's just me.
what monsters
I was high though.
oh yeah.... monsters.
how does the 3-D work? do you have to wear those special glasses? if you do, are you able to steal those special glasses? do you know that if you wear the special glasses outside in the real world EVERYTHING looks 3-D! that's how powerful those special glasses are?
now, where's my milk?
10% is obviously still too much ass.
Just because it has "Kids" in the title doesn't mean that people above 10 shouldn't be able to enjoy it. I enjoy the other two in the same way that I enjoy watching Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Finding Nemo, and the Toy Story movies, which are also well-made family entertainments that are just as appealing as any other above PG movie I've ever seen.
Spy Kids 3D could have been as good as those, considering the fact that the guy who directed this also made Desperado, and El Mariachi and Once Upon a Time in Mexico, and so, if you know anything about movies, you know that, with a small budget, he can make quickly paced, entertaining films. This one, however, is shoddily made, and ugly, because of the 3D.

actually, im prettys ure it does mean that. unless your a parent, or have some sort of authority-parental connection to kids
Mr. Rodriguez is a decent director, yes. He makes entertaining movies. But I would hardly consider him one of such a caliber that you go into the theatre expecting greatness. I've seen El Mariachi, Desperado, and From Dusk Til Dawn, and I would consider none of those classics. They're entertaining, but not worth getting attached to (Only speaking of my own opinion). To expect a man who has made a handful of decent films, and a handful of horrible films (The Faculty, Four Rooms) to make a great family film is.. asking a bit much of him.
Personally I think he is overrated as a director, stemming from the fame he got for making 'El Mariachi' for so damn cheap, and with so few on the crew. That is probably why I never really expected much from his Spy Kids movies (Don't forget, he made the mediocre sequel to the first just a year ago).
I just hope he doesn't make another one.
I got very defensive of my Spy Kids there, for some reason. I agree that he's only a decent director, but I enjoy his films. And I'm also a parent.
Bitching about Spy Kids is akin to bitching about pop icons.

Blah... Nobody cares. Wow, Spy Kids sucked... I'm shocked. Shocked and amazed.
d - I imagine they'd be the same kind as at the IMAX.
As a side note, I hear "Night of the living Dead" is getting re-released on DVD in 3d as well.
Those butchers.

I dare say that shit has become mighty tired. Give it up, old man.
(unfortunately it is survived by one Miss Kitty Menopause)

Yeah I suppose it has. Ah well.
Was the guy in Malcolm in the Middle in the first movie?

I completely agree. It's nearly unwatchable. The scene at the end with Antonio Banderas examining his mini-brains is the only one I half-enjoyed.
