So Uwe Boll is making an Auschwitz Film
If you're not familiar with his oeuvre, he's the guy responsible for cinematic gems like House of the Dead, Bloodrayne, Postal, and essentially every horrible video game-to-screen adaptation ever.
The odd thing, though, is that I find the opening and closing shots of this trailer somewhat compelling. The middle is typical Uwe Boll horeshit, because he seems to equate screaming "OMG THIS REALLY HAPPENED SO I'M NOT EXPLOITING ANYTHING" with being an artist.

It's apparently not on youtube anymore for being too controversial. So check it out here:

Seconded
Or check out Tunnel Rats. His latest films have seen a suspiring leap in quality. I hear is that he no longer writes any of the dialogue and just lets the actors improvise all the lines themselves, and he also gets no-name actors to play the role. Focusing exclusively on the visual aspect of the film made him a capable director.

Citizen Kane SUCKED!!!!!!! True fact.
Alcoholism is the cure not the disease.
I've always kind of respected him. He makes a ton of crap, but from what I've read, he has never made a movie that lost money. He knows how to make an independently financed film on a shoe-string budget. They might be trash more often than not, but you know what? He's making movies for a living. Something he presumably likes to do. What are you doing with your life? Chances are, you're holding down a shit job you hate working for people you can't stand.
Sounds like a good enough reason to despise the guy to me.
Well look at it thins way; Ed Wood only did so much.

I want to see it.
you think this will be like his "Inglorious Basterds" and at the end he'll have the jews rise up and slaughter the hell out of their captors?
No. Uwe's just about violence and a dash of social commentary. There will be no hope.
^^^ I think I agree. The artsiest he'll ever get is displaying historical violence. Although I've never seen Rampage, going by the trailer it looks like a needlessly more action-y version of Falling Down, with a much, much less relatable protagonist (antagonist? idk).
Si vis pacem, para bellum
What I found interesting about the trailer is the lack of soundtrack, instead the whole thing has the background noise of lots of people hammering the walls of these gas chambers. I don't know about you guys but that seemed very powerful to me and really grabbed my attention.
Self improvement comes from trimming away the shit, not building up on top of it.
Coming This Summer!
Uwe Boll's Passion Of The Christ
Tuffy the Dump Truck may rarely increase the risk of a heart attack or stroke. The risk may be greater if you have heart disease or increased risk for heart disease (for example, due to smoking, family history of heart disease, or conditions such as high blood pressure or diabetes), or with longer use. Tuffy should not be taken right before or after heart bypass surgery. Also, Tuffy may infrequently cause serious (rarely fatal) bleeding from the stomach or intestines. This effect can occur without warning symptoms at any time while taking Tuffy. Older adults may be at higher risk for this effect. (See also Precautions and Drug Interactions sections.) Stop taking Tuffy and get medical help right away if you notice any of the following rare but serious side effects: bloody or black/tarry stools, persistent stomach/abdominal pain, vomit that looks like coffee grounds, chest/jaw/left arm pain, shortness of breath, unusual sweating, weakness on one side of the body, sudden vision changes, slurred speech. Ask your doctor if Tuffy is right for you.

The sad part is, it most likely be better than Gibson's.

Interesting stuff. I may need to get onboard with this. Although it's odd that he listed Postal in there with his "great" films. I will Netflix Darfur and go from there...

If you want to see a Uwe Boll movie that's not only watchable but pretty good see "Rampage."
