Scott Pilgrim
This movie was all kinds of awesomeness...anybody else see it yet?

I saw it this morning. I LOVED it, it was possibly the best comic-to-movie adaptation I have ever seen, in terms of faithfulness to source material and ingenuity. (Granted I still haven't read #6) The denoument was a hint awkward but Michael Cera and Kieran Culkin were good enough that I didn't care. It was very well realized.
In other news, COOKIE!!!! HOW ARE YOU.
There is hope, but not for us.
Gonna see it tonight. You better be right!!

I haven't seen it yet but the previews indicate that Cera is and never was right for the role.
It was amazing! The direction by Edgar Wright was just flawless. The transitions were awesome and there were some great jokes he added in. I loved the zelda and seinfeld songs, those really cracked me up. Also, Beck did a great job on the soundtrack

I thought that initially, but he won me over. He did a good job, and I couldn't think of an actor that could've done it better.
There is hope, but not for us.
Corey Haim could've.
R.I.P.

I didn't find out that he had directed this until Comic-con. Before that I wasn't too fired up about it. I thought it looked like it'd be pretty cool, but nothing to get my panties in a twirl over, ya know? But now I'll probably end up actually paying to go see it in a theater instead of bootlegging it.
It was awesome!! A flawless reflection of my generation's culture.

I got to see a preview showing of it, and from the second I left the theater I was trying to talk all my friends into seeing it. Can't wait for the dvd.
peace, love, and angst
I loved this movie. It let me be myself and enjoy it.
From the second I heard the Universal music in midi form, I knew I would love it.
*******************************Meaningless Spoilers but Spoilers none the less if you want to be a nerd and catch the references yourself***********************
I loved the Soul Caliber reference in the battle against the lesbian. Her with Ivy's whip and Ramona with Rock's hammer.
I loved the double dragon reference when they battle the twins.
I loved that Scott learned the bassline to the battle theme from Final Fantasy 2, the most obscure of the the numerical FFs.
I loved psychic vegans
I loved hitting her so hard it knocked the coloring out of her hair.
I loved that all the badguys turn into Canadian 2 Dollar Coins.
And I love Knives Chau. "Ciao, Knives."
Lol, psychic vegans. "Chicken isn't vegan?" BOOM! hahahaha
I wish I played video games a lot more to catch all of those references. I only caught the Seinfeld and Zelda ones. (I'm sure I caught more than that, but those were the ones that stood out extra-conspicuously)

Alright, this thread is moving slowly. I'm going to go pee out of boredom.
To whoever read the comic, does the movie ruin it?
....pending.
