the term post-rock can suck it. any term like "screamo" "post-punk" "stupid-head" can suck it.

i know you didnt invent the term. and for the record i enjoy godspeed you black emperor...

what exactly IS post-rock anyway? like experimental stuff? instrumental stuff?

i'm confused. im gonna go listen to bone thugs now.

good question. i've always put it into the progressive indie / ambient indie catagory. more epic soundscape-like instrumentation, less prominent lyrics.

these post-punk-neo-rock-whatever-core labels that the kids of today put on everything are so fucking confusing. When somebody asks me if i listen to pre-blah-blah music, i have no idea what the hell they are on about and then i feel really old and i die a little inside.

nah, not from MGF.

I got it by typing in "funny elvis" into the google image search engine and it was the first picture to make me laugh.

The funniest bit was that it comes from this guys site http://dammitja.net/murgatroid/murg03.html and this guy dresses up as all these different movie characters and what-not (mostly star trek) and it really shows how sad the world truely is.

This is my favirote - look it's jim carrey from The Mask.

i like godspeed, i have "antennas to heaven" and the one with gasoline in the title, sunshine and gasoline i think it is but i'm not sure, on mp3, so i bought yanqui uxo and it's cool but not the same--much tamer and more ambient. i like the more experimental stuff that's on antennas and the other one, there, the samples of people talking and suchlike. can anyone recommend me any titles of either albums or songs to buy/download that are more like those?

i really like of montreal and apples in stereo...and elf power's pretty cool. besides that, i haven't really heard any of the other ones, except for a few songs from olivia tremor control.

actually, i love jeff mangum's voice....they're just a great band all around. if you don't have that album, you should go get it right now.

i dare you!!!

you probably have been calling me all this time and not telling me it was you. i know you are scared of me gucci, but you need to know that i am not a stalker and will not hurt you very much.

you are probably ED THE WELDER!!

ED THE WELDER calls me every show. he proposes to me and plays me sounds of frogs singing in his pond over the phone. ed the welder is 45 and divorced and has a daughter that listens to modest mouse. ed the welder sometimes goes up north on sunday and in order to get the station in ed the welder has to put tinfoil on his head and sit in his rocking chair in just the right way.

gucci ghost = ed the welder.

Is Sigur Ros "post-rock?" Cause they are sooo dreamy. I'm into the Postal Service a lot right now. They call it "synth pop."
