Now Playing
Sunny Day Real Estate - Waffle
Portishead - Humming - PNYC (Live)
rents, for someone with tribute to sublime written all over 'em, you've got a pretty big hard-on for portishead...
oddly enough, in my car cd player, i have sublime's sublime, and stopped at "summertime."
I just got into a Portishead mood lately 'cause I hadn't listened to 'em in a bit. It's good shit. Now the weather is starting to warm up, the sun's starting to shine, and the anniversary of Bradley's death is in less than a week, so that means plenty of Sublime is in store. Plus you can bet that most of the time Sublime or Radiohead is what's playing in my room, whether I post it here or not. I just want to make it seem like I listen to variety.
Sublime - Don't Push - Bradley Nowell & Friends, Sublime Acoustic.
do you like LBDAS?
Not what I've heard. It just sounds like they're trying to be Sublime and failing.
as weird it sounds, they're much better live.
Interesting. Well, next time they're in town I'll have to check 'em out then. I don't think they're shows are too expensive.
rufus wainright-in my arms.
rufus is one of my favorite gay celebrities that i wish was not gay
Noisex - Escape from Paradise
im starting to get sick of punk im weening closer and closer towards metal ONLY

Bright Eyes and Robert Johnson. I think the two of them should join hands and record some kick ass blues (if Robert Johnson weren't dead).
There is hope, but not for us.

favorite album is a toughie. i would say "the bed is in the ocean" because i listen to it the most. but unsolved is awesome...as well as some boots.
my name is from a karate song. i think it's actually called small fires, 1st track off unsolved.
have you ever heard the song "operation: sand"? probably the best karate song i've ever heard. its on a 7" with the song empty there (i think)...
you have no idea how happy it makes me to know that someone knows what im talking about...my email address is a karate song too!
i am obsessed.
do you have AIM? we should chat about karate and geoff farina until the sun rises and blinds us.
I do not have AIM or any messenger thing.
My best friend is in a NY hardcore band that's getting pretty big and Geoff had heard of them so when I went and saw them on the first show of the Some Boots tour (they blew some stuff because it was their first time out in a while and it was hysterical) I got to talk with him for a while. Cool guy. Great lyrics. Havem't heard his solo stuff.
The drummer seems a bit chodish, a touch like he believes his own press (which may not apply since they may not have any) but that's just my first impression. I'm probably wrong.

No shit, did you get the 7" or did you download it? How's it sound? Is it anything like Beatles' "Paperback Writer?"
Eric Clapton - Cocaine - Slowhand
It's not really playing, but it's just like it is, because I've got it stuck in my head.
And Plastic was oh so right about Paperbag Writer. I've only listened to it a few times, but I might even go so far as to say that I like it better than any of the songs on Hail to the Thief.
**shaking fist toward rents...**
