I didn't know those were hard to find. When they came out, both Best Buy and Media Play in my area had copies of all three. I didn't buy them because I had the vinyl release with those songs on there. Those are, I think, the only "official" releases that I don't have.

It seems to me that I am the biggest NIN fan in my town, hell probably the state. I love the bad so much. Pretty Hate Machine, Broken, Downward Spiral, The Fragile would all be on my Top 10 albums. The Fragile being at number 1 of course. No album can possibly touch that one, well maybe the new album, but it will be tough. I own almost all the halo's. I live in a fairly small town(16,000) so it is very tough to get their stuff. I mean I have done speeches on this band. I got to show "the perfect drug" video for the speech, which in my mind is the best video made, followed closly by closer. and for NIN news, Check out theninhotline.com , they update even when there really is nothing to update on. But, yeah, I love the band, no band can come close to NIN. Very underated band and Trent is one of the most underrated people. He is a god in my mind or when it comes to music.

in my eyes i think it will happen but not to soon, its best to take your mind off of it. if and when it does come out i think it will be fricken awsome. probably one of the best sideprojects done. danny lohner as been in a few interviews latly saying when some law suits are sorted out that is when it will happen. they say it is finished and i hope so. if you want to hear a bit of what to expect, download the song "vacent" performed by apc which is a tapeworm song but apc just played it live once. i guess trent wasnt to happy about it. the song is awsome

No mention of lawsuits that I've seen...he just said they are having trouble working out the details of the contract, since Maynard and T.Rez are signed to different labels. I don't think it's the artists themselves holding it up - it's the suits.

Am I the only one that feels The Fragile could have been a brillant single album instead of a mediocore double album?

Hell, Trent should have just released the song 'The Fragile' as a single and I would have been just as happy.

Broken was an EP. A damn long and awesome EP, but still an EP. And germanoven, I don't know what the hell you are talking about. Every single song on The Fragile is superior to about 99% of all other music out there right now. The only thing that kinda gets me is that Starfuckers Inc. really sticks out. But it rocks so much that I overlook that minor fact.

Oh, and I can't believe that ONE NIN album and not a single Tool album was on the billboard.com's top 500 albums. Like half the fucking list is the Beatles. Sad, really.

the Meathead Perspective is a delicious host of news and for serious entertaining as hell. But ugh those song titles are just fucking atrocious. My 4 year old sister could come up with darker song titles pertaining to sexual inuendo, desecration, and unholy remarks... and probably has!! his lyrics are fantastic. in my opinion i think they are some of the best to be writen. much better then manynards, did you listen to the new perfect circle album. that was the most disappointing part of it, the lyrics were no where near as good as the first albums.

Sadly, I agree with your Perfect Circle observation. Some of the lyrics were gold, but some were not Maynard's, in a way. Like I can't believe he wrote it. Does anyone know if he really did write all of it? I know that Billy Howerdel had much more to do with this album than last time.

for the following reasons, among many others:

1) i didn't listen to ANYTHING harder than the beatles before discovering NIN at 14. so i've got the whole life-changing thing down.

2) i've seen them live. a shocking number of people claiming to be their #1 fan have never seen them live.

3) i literally own every domestic halo.

4) i own "and all that could have been" on one-disc cd, two-disc cd, special-edition cd, vhs and dvd.

5) i have found the easter eggs on the dvd.

6) i make a consistent and determined effort to convert other people to NIN fandom.

7) i have a NIN sticker on a car I bought three years ago. When was the last time you saw one of those in stores?

8) i was one of the original members of the nin.com dboards.

9) the majority of my t-shirts are NIN shirts.

10) every college dorm room i've ever lived in has been wallpapered with trent. my room at home, of course, was the inspiration for this.

11) i'm on my third copy on cd of the downward spiral, fourth copy if you count the copy of it i stole from a friend and wouldn't give back when she first let me borrow it to see if i liked it.

12) i have double copies of the CDs so i'm never without them in the car or in the house, or so if i lose one, i won't be without a copy for a second.

13) this one's the kicker--i have actually written, and received an "A" on, a full-fledged research paper about the subculture of NIN fans, including an in-depth analysis of the music. in college. for a 400-level, majors-only honors course.

anyone who thinks they can beat that is welcome to try.

and btw, whoever said that the NIN threads are getting annoying, this is the first one i've seen go past two pages. unlike, of course, certain other threads about boobs and the like, or, what was it, "what was the last thing you ate?" that go on for hundreds.
