Nick Cave Appreciation Thread
Videos or lyrics welcome.
I think if I had to pick a favorite it would be The Mercy Seat: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L6RML0YHOm8
I had loved Nick Cave for a while and when I saw his cameo in Wings of Desire I knew he was good people. Forward to 2:00 if you don't want to watch the whole thing. That brooding figure on the stage is an Angel and he is listening to Nick Cave's thoughts.
Another one I love: Where Do We Go Now But Nowhere
morey, I thought his book was pretty bad.
The pink shirt or the ass fucking?
Yeah, I should have watched the whole thing before replying. I had a "doh" moment.
I was packing today (I'm moving again) and found signed King Ink.
It was 1989....Oh, I was young...
The Catmother of all Worldwide Cats
With Warren Ellis- What must be done
I wish it was longer;I could listen to that song 'til the end of time.

Along with Warren Ellis of Dirty Three, he did the scores for The Assassination of Jesse James By the Coward Robert Ford and The Proposition, which he also wrote, and both of which are incredibly awesome movies, and they're both doing the score for The Road, which is one of many reasons why I've been dying to see it.
He is awesome. Been a fan for a long time (and he's incredible live). Grinderman were addictive for me last year, with "No Pussy Blues" etc.
Nick Cave made an incredible performance in Ghosts... of the Civil Dead! Too bad this film is not widely known, since it's very realistic and quite thought-provoking.
I really enjoyed his new book, The Death of Bunny Munro.
The Death of Bunny Munro had an absolutely amazing audiobook too, with a score by him and Warren Ellis.

The last cd I bought was Door, Door - The Boys Next Door, probably the best $14 I ever spent.
I liked Bunny Munro a lot, I keep mkeaning to read And The Ass Saw The Angel.
I've been meaning to *really* get into him for a while, but my mp3 players always chocked with newer, unknown music. Only know a handful of tracks.
Who would be so kind to suggest amazing tracks in addition to what's on his best-of? (Best Ofs NEVER have the best on there)

The Carny.
From Her To Eternity.
These are the two that blew apart my world back in the '80s.
This is why we can't have nice things.
Anything off of Murder Ballads. I love the CD.
Awesome version of The Carny.

This is why we can't have nice things.
I love Nick Cave. I saw him and the bad seeds about 3 years ago. It was wonderful.
