Been listening to the new Tame Impala album and this other band called the Allah-Lahs a lot. Garagey/psychedelic inspired stuff.
That being said, I've listened to Steely Dan's Aja album twice in the past 12 hours.
I'm just that cool.
It took over a month, but I finally tracked down this song. There's something about it I just love.

Pål Martin and I bought tickets to a festival held in Trondheim in August every year. We bought the tickets as soon as they were up for sale, because that's when they're the cheapest, and we could always sell them (for a higher price) around the beginning of August if the line-up ends up sucking.
However, a few bands have been announced, and one of them, Graveyard, is damn awesome.

Oh, I did get The Lumineers Winter ep yesterday on vinyl, which was a special black friday limited release. I didn't really want it on vinyl, but that's the only way it was released. It's pretty good.

You reminded me I downloaded that and it's just been sitting on my desktop all week! I'm excited to listen, the single sounds good. I love me some Nick Cave, in all his various incarnations.
I can't stop listening to this band's covers. They are usually better than the originals. They have a great sound.

So I think the album overall is kinda meh.. but The Drones new album is pretty great. If you like Nick Cave/Tom Waits/Leonard Cohen kind of thing, you'll probably enjoy it. Some fantastic lyrics, as usual.
