Movie talk
Yeah, Venom is essential in the Carnage story, but, you know, they can change whatever they want and usually do. Plus, in the Ultimate series, Carnage also had a lot to do with the story about his parents... I think. I only read a few of the issues.
I may be bias, cuz gawd-freakin'-dammit, I want to see Carnage! I thought he was awesome.

Savages was alright. It was set at my favorite beach in the world. It was strange seeing the beach on the big screen. The two guys were pretty hot too I guess. The story dragged for me a little bit.
Also, let me guess. They get the girl (back) at the end.
There were a few twists at the end. It was just really cheesy. I didn't care to watch it myself because it looked cheesy but I wanted to watch over Ted. I was hoping for some gruesome scenes; The killing scenes lived up to my expectations. It was more so the dialogue that left me wanting. Salma Hayek and Benecio's characters were interesting.
I forgot to mention me and my mom are having an Anne of Green Gables/Avonlea movie marathon.
I'm a little too close to what's going on in Mexico, so I don't think I'll be watching Savages.

I'm coming over, be right there.
Aww amazing! Can I come too?
Did you guys ever read the author's other series?
I've never even read the books. I probably should. I love the movies though. Me and my mom pretty much watched all 4 yesterday. I kinda missed part of the last one because we were too busy laughing at that You're Not a Photographer site.
Looks like Ben Affleck is currently set to direct the film version of Stephen King's The Stand. **ducks**
Saw Ice Age 4 today. Funniest part was when a mole asks one of the two possums how come they're so relaxed ahead of the impending doom (the continental drift) and he whispers: "We're very, very stupid."
He's a better director than actor.
He can probably do The Stand, i don't know. I haven't read it in so long that i don't really remember it. I loved The Town though and Argo looks really cool too.
I quite enjoyed Spiderman but I thought it was unnecisserily long, by the time it got to the lizard I'd run out of Coke and was getting pissed off. We're about to watch Chronicle, really looking forward to this.
Did J.J Abrams produce Chronical or am I thinking of the wrong movie? Either way it look's a good film.
There is no proper way to cope, no everlasting grace.
Just a flame on a river floating away.
Chronicle was good. And, yeah, I think Abrams did produce it.
I liked it but I didn't think it was that special. Kind of frustrating cliches and bad acting, half of it was just them messing around. "Dude!" - ugh.
Just watched Apocalypse Now: Redux... I probably should have watched the original. It was OK but, at times, tiresome. Brando was awesome. And it was great to hear The Doors.
i enjoyed dark shadows. the silliness of the trailer was a bit misleading though.
So last week I watched The Pact. If you haven't seen it then I wouldn't bother. Anyone else see it? They really did show the best bit on the trailer.

I was watching In Time. Pretty interesting concept. More than anything I loved the cars and scenes set in L.A. on some bridges/riverbeds I'm familiar with.
That is how I feel about The Lost Boys, which was filmed in Santa Cruz. I was born there and all my earliest memories and some of my best memories from summers growing up are there on that boardwalk and beach and the downtown mall. I always laugh at the fires on the beach in the movie though, not happening in real life at all.
Warner Bros. editing Gangster Squad to remove the movie theater shootout sequence.

Unnecessary.
We're going to be volunteering at the Sidewalk Film Festival, and we're going to get to see some/all of these movies FOR FREE. w00t (do people still say that?)
I do!
w00t!
This is why we can't have nice things.
Get the Gringo and Man on a Ledge were both shit.
Fiiiinally watched Moonrise Kingdom. It was great. Although I can already imagine what I'd find if I googled it with "inappropriate child behavior".

Forgot to mention that I saw that Saturday.
Despite the animal blood and near child pornography it was cute.
"In case we never see each other again, thank you for marrying me."
Saw Total Recall(2012) tonight. It was entertaining, and that was about it. The action and world was pretty cool looking, but it fell way short on plot. It seemingly jumped around from fight scene to fight scene with little explanation as to why anything was happening. Plot holes galore. I'd say C-, and usually I'll love anything that's Sci-fi action or drama.
Edit: Took a look at the IMDB "People who liked this also liked..." and I think it sums it up pretty well. Ironman, Jumper, Tron Legacy, Predators.

Spider-man was cool. I really enjoyed it.
I also saw Intimacy. Surprisingly very good and at some point I could quite relate to whole story.

I saw The Campaign and every time Zach Galifianakis was on screen, i laughed like i was stoned. It was embarrassing, it felt like i was bothering everyone around me but i couldn't help it. Will Ferrel had some funny lines too but all Zach had to do was stand there and i'd laugh.
If no one sigs this, the world is without justice.

I'm halfway through We Need To Talk About Kevin (the book) and I feel like I should reiterate that the movie was amazing and you should all see it.
Tried watching Carnage tonight but it was obnoxious so we quit.
Has anyone watched Killer Joe? I fucking loved it!
Saw Snow White and the Huntsman...
The creatures were all visualy fun, the dwarves were entertaining and the action was decent. The plot was everything you would expect. Saw it on the cheap so all in all it wasnt to bad.
As your attorney, my advise to you is to start drinking heavily(er).-Tuffy
I hope you're enjoying the book!
I thought the language was just so...rich? I guess that's what I'd call it. I loved that book so much.
The movie was good too, but there's so much more depth to the novel. Glad you're reading it!
It's wonderful! I haven't got round to reading more though, I've been trying to unpack and get updated on the internet I've been missing for the past week.
The language is very beautiful indeed. Not flowery-beautiful, but real-writer-beautiful. It's a real mouthful of oxygen after that crap Romanian novel that had just awful awful language - crammed words just for shock(?)/wannabe interesting value.
Has anyone watched Killer Joe? I fucking loved it!
Carnage was so funny.
If no one sigs this, the world is without justice.
Thanks Tuffy!
I also liked Carnage.
Watched 15 minutes of The Dictator, then we turned it off, 'cause it was boring and stupid as fuck. I know, why did I even consider watching it in the first place.
I've watched about an hour of The Lorax, but I deleted it last night, because I'm really just not enjoying it. It's not very funny.
Doctor Seuss movie adaptations just don't really work.
Looking forward to Paul Thomas Anderson's new film, The Master. Shame the UK release isn't until November. FFS!
I watched High Noon until I fell asleep. My aunt(grandpa's sister) told me that their father looked like Gary Cooper. It was strange watching him on screen and thinking that was what my great grandfather looked like(there are very few pictures of him). I could see how he could look like my great grandfather cuz somehow I saw the resemblance to our family features.
Anyway it was a cool old western film that reminded me of some short story I had to read in English Lit. I think I fell asleep during the best part though.
High Noon is overrated.

Okay....
saw god bless america yesterday. it was pretty good!
.I'm beginning to believe that anything I do to extend my life is just going to be outweighed by the agony of living it.

To Lib,
They can't really use Carnage without using Venom. And that didn't work out too well.
Then again, Raimi hated Venom and only put him in to appease the fans so perhaps he wasn't the best director to handle it.
Then again again, they already rebooted the origin. I'd hate for them to rehash another story idea (ie the symbiote suit).
I really do like the idea of Chameleon though. They could do a spy/stealing secrets thing.
