Movie talk
No question Hulk stole the show.
I heard 2 HOURS were cut from the finished product. You could kind of tell at certain points, like when Capt just assumes role of leader.
Overall, it was a great COMICBOOK movie. I can't wait for Dark Knight Rises because Dark Knight was a great movie on its own.
I'm still laughing at the part ***spoiler*** where he punches Thor ***end spoiler***. Yeah, most definitely a great comic book movie. I'll say its my favorite comic book movie. I also cannot wait for the next Batman movie.

I'm still laughing at Hulk vs Loki.
That was great too.

The Avengers was very good, but Captain America: The First Avenger is sadly underrated and Ironman is still the best superhero movie of them all.

I liked both those quite a bit but them all together was great. The chemistry was there among the actors that I think made it better if a movie for me. Also colbie smolders and scarlet johansen in tight outfits helped.

I feel like I'm the only one that liked Thor better than Captain America. Thor was its own movie while Captain America was just an 120 minute long trailer for the Avengers. Howard Stark being one of the main characters just made it feel like one big circle jerk.
Oh, and I liked Colbie Smolders in that a lot. I hope she gets promoted.

I didn't like Thor. I'm not engrossed in the mythology. I'm not into magic (not a Harry Potter fan either). There were only two fights in the movie ( if you don't count Thor escaping from SHIELD). And the romance was paper thin.
It also doesn't help that I hate hate hate Kat Dennings.
I didn't much care for Avengers. It was just too much of "Let's have this Superhero fight that Superhero." Loki was a great villain but it just bugs me when there's thousands of faceless badguys for the "Big Fight" part. It feels like a cheap way for them to just throw at the heroes for them to get enough shots for each one in some cool pose. Like any of the fights could have been however short or long as they wanted them to be and it wouldn't have changed or advanced anything with the story.
I never saw either of the Hulk movies, but isn't he supposed to be unable to control when he changes or what he does when he's the Hulk? Seemed like in this movie, at least towards the end, he would just become the Hulk whenever they needed him and could follow orders and whatnot.
And then I got really ticked off for staying all the way through the end credits for the worst post-credits scene in the history of Hollywood. ugh!
But even with all that pissing all over it, I did dig the Thor/Hulk fight. and also that they did have Loki wearing his big horn hat for quite a few scenes. Now if they only had Thor wear his hat. At least once, come on! Also, I totally swiped my 3-D glasses. I got the Thor ones.
I really enjoyed the Thor and Captain America movies too. although it was weird for me trying to picture Bucky as an actual big soldier dude and not some goofy kid.
It also doesn't help that I hate hate hate Kat Dennings.
My feelings are the complete opposite of everything you just said. I like mythology and magic (love Harry Potter), and don't care about a lack of fighting, in fact the more fighting there is in a movie, the more I feel like it's a cop-out on plot. How can you hate Kat Dennings?

Watched Contraband last night, which was alright. Just finished watching Shame and that was really intense. Fassbender is great.
Thor handled the mythology quite well, given the difficulty dealing with supernatural/divine characters, and in this case describing a society of them.
Hulk is the trickiest character, because he's so powerful and invulnerable and you can only have a certain level of destruction between it gets boring. Concerning his control issues, as far as I know he is not completely taken by blind rage, he channels it to those who cause it and stops (or tries to) when innocents or allies are threatened by the collateral damage he causes.

It also doesn't help that I hate hate hate Kat Dennings.

I meant I'm not engrossed in this comic's mythology. I love Greek Mythology. Magic can be very hit or miss. True about fighting, but that down time has to be filled with something of substance. And Kat just strikes me as a horrible person, just something about her behavior in all of her roles. In that sitcom she's currently in, she acts like a total misanthropic sociopath. She's always in less than stellar movies.
I like Kat in her supporting roles in movies, but I completely forgot about that tv show she stars in. I've never seen it but it really looks dreadful.

About to watch Drive. I'll let you guys know what I think.

Don't worry, you liked it.
Just so you know, your opinion weighs heavily on the future of our friendship.

I did like it. They (special effects deptartment) like their blood splatter, huh?

Just got back from seeing Monsieur Lazhar.
It was a fantastic foreign film that I highly recommend.
Very touching. About an Algerian teacher who takes over teaching a class in Montreal after a favorite teacher commits suicide.
That movie is still awesome. I hadn't seen it in so long until maybe last year and I thoroughly enjoyed it like the first time.
I watched Drive yesterday too. I thought it was pretty good. Don't think it's going to stick with me or anything, but it was entertaining.
I'm going to make an obvious statement here. Battleship was fucking horrible. Don't judge me. It was the only thing playing past 10:30 yesterday.

Was this one of the scenes by any chance?

I just watch Frozen film on HBO. It's so scare although no ghost no devil on film. it talk about survival of people. Worthy to watch this film
Getting excited for this, besides, it has Jack White's song in the background.
You like Jack White? That means I love you.
Hey, do you guys think that the Harry Potter series will remain popular enough that in 18 or so years they'll come out with a remastered version where the epilogue's actors are replaced with the then old enough actors?
Si vis pacem, para bellum
Dude, they are going to keep making stories. Probably movies, tv shows etc...
Harry Potter makes too much money not to continue. You can preach all you like about how there are no more stories and they shouldn't. My point is not whether they should, it's that it's going to happen.
Um... that's not... huh? I just asked if they'd come out with a specifically different version of the same movie in 18 years. Your answer is obviously yes, but I think you sound too sure.

I had no clue there was a movie! Should definitely watch it then.
That would be crazy. People will be simultaneously pleased and pissed.
I don't think they'll do it.
That was the only good part.
Don't listen to him, he's full of lies.
I'm watching Avatar on FX. I'm very, very confused about something... a lot of things, actually. It's said that Pandora is supposed to be a "hellhole" that's apparently more dangerous than all of the warzones on a resource-depleted Earth, as evidenced by the scar on the colonel's face that he got on his first day on Pandora even after going through some warzones on Earth without injury. He's apparently head of "private security" for the station.
Sooo... how exactly is that station supposed to be a "hellhole"? It seems pretty damn cushy, to me. And are the animals and the Na'vi supposed to be more dangerous than a legitimate warzone on Earth, being fought ferociously due to a depletion of resources? It's all just... I really don't understand it. Are the Na'vi raiding the station like the Native Americans did to the early colonies? Or is all this danger entirely coming from the animals they're defending the scientists against? If so, wouldn't it just make more sense to go in with those gigantic robots that can crush trees instead of just two people with apparently useless guns? What were the scientists trying to do with these expeditions, exactly? Study the entire environment in a "leave only footprints" sort of way? Why would they be given military help for that when there actually is a lack of resources which should be the top priority?
This post started off with a single question. I've slowly realized that there are a lot of problems with this movie.

But it's so pretty...
And that's the first problem I had. Biologically, I can forgive the extreme improbability of such similar-looking/similar-behaving lifeforms springing up on another planet (including horses and shit), but WHAT, exactly, were the evolutionary advantages of having such distinct colors, and plants spending energy to illuminate themselves in the dark? Sure, you can claim that the pollinators are nocturnal and the light helps them see the flowers better, but that's bullshit too because they only light up after you've hit them. Everything just stuck out like a sore thumb. Yeah, it's pretty, but it makes no sense.

Now I see why Justin freaks out about writing screenplays that make no sense scientifically. It's because of guys like you in the audience!
Really, though, it's just a pretty movie and I didn't even think about the science of it when I saw it. I live in Alabama, though, and science has been banned here for at least fifteen years.
Did anyone see The Town? Thought it was great. Ben Affleck is the man.

I have no problem with scientific inaccuracies as long as everything else is decent enough, but I already pointed out just a few of the problems with the story.
I remember I used to say the movie was okay because the effects were incredible, but really... I didn't think that at all. When it comes to effects, they just have to be good enough. Past a certain point, it doesn't improve the movie.
Yes, I'm a bit of a let down, but that's my problem. I have to live with myself.

Also, The Town was pretty good. Ben Affleck's alright.
Si vis pacem, para bellum
Yeah, that's a good one. I imagine Ritt talks like everyone in that movie.
Fuck yaself.
I loved that movie.
I feel like I'm the only one who hated The Town. The ending was the worst. It tried its hardest to be The Shawshank Redemption, but it just wasn't.

I watched Pierrot le Fou today. Man, Anna Karina is gorgeous! Was.

The boy's tickets were free so I technically just paid for mine, plus popcorn, drinks nachos and a hotdog. Thats crazy. i'd rather taken them to a baseball game but... I would've paid double, the movie was awesome!!!
Hulk was my favorite.
