I think that's interesting to pick a soundtrack. Not a score but a soundtrack. And I'm not being sarcastic either, Moe. It sort of says something about a person, I think. What exactly, I'm not sure.

I have some serious warm fuzzies when I think about The Crow soundtrack. That was a good era of my life.

Maybe. Musically at least.

This makes me happy since most of my friends are into Shite. I know no one who likes Nine Inch Nails.

Do you like Phil Collins? I've been a big Genesis fan ever since the release of their 1980 album, Duke. Before that, I really didn't understand any of their work. Too artsy, too intellectual. It was on Duke where, uh, Phil Collins' presence became more apparent. I think Invisible Touch was the group's undisputed masterpiece. It's an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding three albums. Christy, take off your robe. Listen to the brilliant ensemble playing of Banks, Collins and Rutherford. You can practically hear every nuance of every instrument. Sabrina, remove your dress. In terms of lyrical craftsmanship, the sheer songwriting, this album hits a new peak of professionalism. Sabrina, why don't you, uh, dance a little. Take the lyrics to Land of Confusion. In this song, Phil Collins addresses the problems of abusive political authority. In Too Deep is the most moving pop song of the 1980s, about monogamy and commitment. The song is extremely uplifting. Their lyrics are as positive and affirmative as, uh, anything I've heard in rock. Christy, get down on your knees so Sabrina can see your ass. Phil Collins' solo career seems to be more commercial and therefore more satisfying, in a narrower way. Especially songs like In the Air Tonight and, uh, Against All Odds. Sabrina, don't just stare at it, eat it. But I also think Phil Collins works best within the confines of the group, than as a solo artist, and I stress the word artist. This is Sussudio, a great, great song, a personal favorite.

Thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaats scary.

Actually, I'm more of a Huey Lewis and the News fan who sometimes dabbles in Whitney Houston.

Having grown up in the Midwest I must confess an odd passion for the work of John Cougar Mellencamp.

I can't be the only one...

I could never get into Genesis as a band... but I love Peter Gabriel, on his own.

Phil Collins lately just makes me think of Disney. Sad

I hate Mellancamp with a passion. Especially the Van Morrison song that he and Michelle N'degge O'cello or whatever it was butchered.

Dude, don't fuck with Van Morrison.

But I agree. Phil Collins is shite. Peter Gabriel, though, I am a fan of. Particularly, Us and So.

Couger is a very guilty pleasure of mine. I have the Scarecrow record on vinyl, I keep it buried deep behind all the other vinyl. But man, a little ditty. Love!

John Mellencamp is great. He rocks in concert too. I did hate that song that Proto refered to, "Wild Nights," but that was more of me hating the song, than the way they did it.

His violin player kicks ass.

Peter Gabriel made one of the great love songs..."In Your Eyes" and one of the world's worst songs ever...Sledgehammer...in the same album.

Huey Lewis on the News rocked. Everytime I hear them I think of Michael J. Fox hanging on to the back of a Jeep, riding on his skateboard.

And so does Sledgehammer, you god damn heathen.

For me Sledghammer ranks right up there with "Simply Irresistable" as the worst songs of the 80's.

Dude. That song rocked, too.

Your taste sucks.

What next, are you going to insult 'Addicted to Love'?

I bet you will.

Asshat.

"Addicted to Love" was horrible! Oh God, how can any like that song...

I'll stay in my "Your taste sucks" minority if it means I never have to listen to any of those songs again.

Others to include: "Mony, Mony" by Billy Idol. "Friends in Low Places" by Garth Brooks...or anything country for that matter. Anything Nirvana.

Yeah, I'll accept "Your taste sucks" if I can get a mulligan from ever having to listen to any of that crap again.

Although I don't listen to it much anymore, U2's War was the soundtrack to my high school years. I listened to it constantly and New Year's Day is still my favorite song ever. Also R.E.M.'s Document got a ton of air time on my radio. The odd thing is neither album would probably make my current top ten list, but for nostalgia alone, they stick out more than any others
