"Law & Order" Appreciation Thread
Anyone would be better for Olivia than the Angry Clean Marine, even Cragen with a wig.

I don't think Stabler is a dumb asshole at all. I think he's very stereotypical of what people think of cops, especially Americans, but I also think Christopher Meloni does a good job of bringing an extremely human side to his character.
There is hope, but not for us.
I won't judge Meloni's performance, because watching dubbed episodes doesn't help for it, but the permanent righteous "I-have-4-daughters-that's-why-i-hate-child-molestors" attitude is a bit tired after a while.

The Ending of Many Law & Order: Criminal Intent Episodes, Reenacted With Sock Puppets
Scheming Criminal Mastermind Sock Puppet: I have agreed to talk to you to demonstrate how totally not guilty I am of this crime you accuse me of.
Vincent D'Onofrio Sock Puppet: Now I can reveal this shocking evidence that you weren't aware for me knowing! And this proves your guilt!
Scheming Criminal Mastermind Sock Puppet: Wait, no it doesn't, let me explain everything and then say something which actually incriminates me further!
Vincent D'Onofrio Sock Puppet: Aha! We knew you were guilty and we have tricked you into admitting it!
Scheming Criminal Mastermind Sock Puppet: Arrgh! My complicated criminal scheme has fallen apart, and I must confess in a dramatic fashion!
Vincent D'Onofrio Sock Puppet: (pithy remark)
Dick Wolf Sock Puppet: Hi.
See, I would have used salt and pepper shakers (and a Tabasco bottle for Dick Wolf) but other than that, yeah, pretty much.
There is hope, but not for us.
The french adaptation of L&O: CI, titled Paris : Enquêtes criminelles is being aired. It seems that the plots are mere copies of american stories, only heavily watered down to conform to stupid french tv standards
Vincet Perez is our Vincent d'Onofrio, and he seems to be the only valuable actor.
Dick Wolf Sock Puppet: Hi.
Haha! We always laugh when we see this guy's name, like so:
Nicky: Haha, Dick Wolf.
Someone else: Yes, his name is funny to me.
I like like SVU, but if the episodes were more like this it would quickly become love.
Last night, instead of a double SVU before the regular L&O they showed an episode of Criminal Intent in the second hour. Tonight it's just double Criminal Intent. I don't like it! I tried.
Oh, I forgot to update to say that I now love Criminal Intent.

Okay I didn't see the cat till just now.
I want to get a cat and name it that. That's even better than on "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" where they named their cat Special Agent Jack Bauer.
There is hope, but not for us.
Why don't plots revolve more around Munch and Fin ? They are so much more interesting.
I can't stand Munch. Every time he pipes up with one of his stupid comments I just wanna smack him. You're working sex crimes, dickhead, show some decorum!
Omg are you seriose!? Munch and Finn obviously are in love with each other. You take away the Munch from the Munch and Finn, the show goes off the air.
There is hope, but not for us.
I'm not saying take him off the show I'm just saying...you know...shut up, jackass!

tom of the fjords
Stabler is a dumb asshole, actually the typical arrogant American that the whole wide world despises.
He's not that bad. You gotta admit his ass is heavenly.
Why don't plots revolve more around Munch and Fin ? They are so much more interesting.
I agree. Poor Fin, he's usually on that show for like 5 minutes playing the badass black dude and then disappears. I want more Fin damn it. He's a complex man.

Like Shaft.
There is hope, but not for us.
Fin needs more face time is all I'm sayin.'

thanks to my psychology class, Ive become an avid fan of SVU.

Is Detective Greene a compulsive gambler? I've been picking up hints of that lately.
There is hope, but not for us.
...shut up, jackass!
I wonder why I said jackass. It's not a word I'd usually choose.
It's all about Homicide: Life on the Street.
I don't like CI as much now since D'Onofrio got fat.
My mom is obsessed with all things Law and Order, she could tell you anything about it from Homicide days to the present.
There are a lot of actors used more than once.
I kind of miss Jack McCoy, but at the same time like that they do less court shit.

Because there's less of a chance that Munch and Finn will have sex, I suppose.
There is hope, but not for us.
