Heres to Watching an Entire Television Season in One Day
Earlier today, well at this point yesterday, I watched the entire forth season of Dexter. All it did was reaffirm my belief that this is the best series on TV right now (not of all time.) So heres to the 11 straightish hours, the episodes aren't an entire hour, minus the perviously on and the opening credit sequence, bathroom breaks, food breaks. Lets make it 10 hours of me sitting on my ass in front of the boob-tube. (raises kool-aid)

I pretty much do that all the time. The biggest one I did was Psych about a month ago. Right now I am watching all of Dead Like Me. I wish it had been on longer.
Good arms vs bad arms will win hands down.
i did that watching Burn Notice and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
A couple of months ago, I watched the first 4 seasons of Seinfeld in one day...
I've watched the entire series of Futurama in one weekend.
Si vis pacem, para bellum
Yeah, I do this with pretty much all the tv shows I watch because I don't actually watch them when they're on tv. I just wait til they're out on DVD and then binge like a motherfucker.
i do this a lot, if i can. i watched an entire season of Soprano's in one day in one sitting, i remember that one.
Entroage, Weeds, Calaforniacatian, True Blood, Rome, Band of brothers over my time spent on my ass watching great TV. But I feel guilty like I could have been out hiking or somthing but who cares good tv is good tv.
fuck hiking.
Yes, fuck hiking!
Weeds, Lost, Dexter, Its Always Sunny, Nurse Jackie, Sopranos...too many to name. Good TV rocks!
Bad TV can be fun if you're loaded...
What in the hell...

I watched all NINE seasons of X-Files over one semester of college while taking 15 credits (all electrical engineering and physics courses - made "Dean's List"), volunteering with two student organizations, and spending time with my girlfriend (now wife).
Watched Weeds, Entourage, 24 (seasons 1 and 2), Dead Like Me, Arrested Development, and 30 Rock and more like this.
Currently going through Bones...
Was going to watch The A-Team, MacGuyver, and some other shows, but wow did they suck.
Think for yourself. Question Authority.
I thought this was such a dull show, I could hardly finish an episode.
England still reigns in the sitcom department. However, I admit(excluding period pieces) that we suck at tv drama.
exactly what Frank said, but it's not very cool to just quote and not add anything, so, there it is.
I watched the entire latest season of Dexter during the Christmas blizzard. I don't remember anything about it, though, because I smoked the whole time and I think I actually went insane around day 3 of being physically blocked into my apartment. It got real "Cask of Amontillado" around my house for a while.
There is hope, but not for us.
Now I'm picturing Jane shuffling to and fro, shouting "FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, MONTRESOR!"
It was a LOT like that. Only imagine Chips Ahoy! instead of wine and Montresor is played by a snowbank.
There is hope, but not for us.
just finished watching season nine of family guy in one sitting. pretty offensive.
This sounds like a form of torture.

I finished the last season of Breaking Bad this morning. I am upset I have to wait until next summer for season 4.

this and it's obvious someone doesn't like hiking
agreed. This is what I think about while watching all the shows sitting on my lazy ass is all. But in the end I smoke watch tv have a blast and when its time to switch the cd over to cd 2 I look at the sunny weather and say fuck it and sit down for another run of good old tv.
Doesn't the next season start this fall?
Nope, Breaking Bad season four doesn't begin until July 2011.
*side note* For season three I actually watched all episodes on their first run, I don't know why.

Man, I'm pretty obsessed with Weeds right now. I watched season two yesterday, season one the day before that and I'm about to settle in to season three right now. So good.
I thought this was such a dull show, I could hardly finish an episode.
I hope you were talking about Burn Notice, because if you were bad mouthing Always Sunny then you are a buffoon!!
I was thinking the same thing Nate.
A buffoon, I say!
I just ordered the Blu-Ray complete collection of Battlestar Galactica, so I'm going to go hermit when it comes in.

I watched about four seasons of Weeds before I realized I found it quite boring and Nancy Botwin to be one of the most unevenly written characters I could think of in such a popular TV show.
There is hope, but not for us.
Really, Jane? Why do you think she is uneven and by that, do you mean inconsistent? Because so farX I'm finding her to be a pretty consistent fuck up of a mother. But at least she tried to get a normal job, I guess.
And Zooey Dechanell (I'm sure I misspelled that) was in it so: +++
After four seasons I just never understood why she did what she does. She starts out realistically enough: wanting to provide for her family, keeping her life as a dealer on the DL. That's all fine. Then she just starts to take these bigger and bigger risks, alienates her children (who, as you recall, are the people she got into dealing to protect in the first place), gets into these relationships that seem to have no logical terminus except in more disaster, la la la.
Also, I recall there being a huge shift around season 3 as to the fanciness of her dialogue and her starting to go on these weird monologue-type rants (the one I remember specifically is when she had Celia's head trapped in the car window. What, did she suddenly get smarter? Did she take breaks from dealing and associating with Mexican gangsters to brush up on her Elizabethan drama? It was just sloppy.
Perhaps she's being written purposely as being very idiotic and self-destructive. But that doesn't mean I have to watch it.
There is hope, but not for us.
Fair enough. And I can definitely see where you're coming from. The way she continuously takes ridiculous risks is pretty dumb and irresponsible, but never the less, it's entertaining. Although I haven't see the celia's-head-in-a-window seen yet, I have notices her getting a bit more sassy, but I put that down to her experience in the "industry". But this season has been much funnier than the last two, in my opinion, even though, disappointingly, the beautiful Zooey hasn't been in this season. Yet. Still got a few episodes to go.
I could probably do a season of new Doctor Who easy peasy. The real challenge would be an entire season of the old series, like something from Hartnell, Troughton, Pertwee, or Tom Baker.
I'm sure I could do it but I'm sure the wife and kids would give up on me.
This has been another random act of nonsense.
How anyone can enjoy the new Doctor Who is beyond me.
It's far too heavy on SFX (which generally look crap because it's BBC) and the last three doctors have been shit.
I thought this was such a dull show, I could hardly finish an episode.

Except for Skins, of course.
of course. can't fucking wait for season five and the new cast. i saw a picture of them the other day and they look pretty damn cool.
That was my Friday evening/Saturday. No joke.
I was just recently introduced to Dexter and started Netflixing it. Burned through Season's One and Two and rather than wait I purchased Three and Four. I can't say I miss having television, but that show is the duck's nuts. The last 2 minutes of Season Four makes all those hours worth it. Crazy.
Last One Dead Is A Sissy
Dexter,is a great show. c:
ooooh, she said it in italics, she must be serious.
I have to say the italics version of serious is refreshing after reading through a diatribe of all caps rants that are the Yahoo! News comments section.
Last One Dead Is A Sissy

a couple years ago I spent 5 straight days watching every episode of MST3K. It was a beautiful and terrible time!
