Glad you asked. GWAR stands for God What Awful Racket. GWAR are aliens that crash landed on earth millions of years ago, killed the dinosaurs, and created people by having sex with simians.

They put on a stage show where they're all wearing alien costumes and such. Their music ranges from metal to punk.

You may have heard of such hits as: Meat Sandwich, Nitro Burning Funny Bong, Sadam A Go-Go, or many others...

Many many moons ago, an old local theater used to have an animated bit before every feature where a rock band comprised of walking candy bars, pop cans* and popcorn tubs would plug the concession stand. My friends and I would always scream "GWAR!!" like retards at the screen when it was on.

But that...was a LONG...TIME...AGOOO...
