i've seen un chien andalou many many times, and i can tell you that that still is NOT from the movie. neither of those people in the picture ever appeared in the film, if you downloaded the film off kazaa, i suggest you check your sources, because that picture is not from the movie.

that is not from the movie, but a guy looking down at his hand w/ ants crawling out...that is from the movie...

so when xchuck said that it is the 2nd one down, i couldn't see that picture, so i thought it was the 2 ppl in the car...

anyway, sorry about all of that. i am kind of a bunuel fan, so i take these things a little too personally, for some reason i cant see pictures from that site..

Glad someone got this one... it's such a bad-ass flick. Great homage to other action classics... Choc, Le, Point Break [pictured above... the president's mask thing, like Swayze's bank robbing game] Mariachi, El [several bar scenes with instruments] Léon aka The Professional [especially the shotgun-flower stuff, Crying Freeman, Fight Club [yes, Fight Club too]... as well as many Woo-ish characteristics from stuff like The Killer and Hard Boiled and even others like A better Tomorrow and Fallen Angels [stylistically, colors and light and camerawork... plus even more references to T2, The Samurai, Miami Vice, The Way of The Gun, The Wild Bunch, The Shining, Breathless, RAN, Die Hard, Taxi Driver, etc...

It's the Citizen Kane of action films... with few flaws...

... Tarantino only wishes his films could have as many cool references as Full Time Killer...

... also very important... Fulltime Killer reminds us, the viewer, that chicks with glasses are the best, 'cause take 'em off and you both look better...

Suicide Club? I've only heard of this movie but it sounds interesting, plus it fits the picture.

Not quite, although several films have been made about suicide clubs, and Kitano has a thing for having people perform sepaku in his films... traditional suicide ritual with knife in stomach...

One more hint... which will probably give it away. Tarantino compared it to Goodfellas, and basically if you haven't seen this film, then you are at the bottom of the film food chain... at least as far as cult films go...

Thank you. Yes, Sonatine it be, and yes, Kitano loves to kill himself... see also... Brother, where his right-hand man kills himself before Takeshi faces the music, and Boiling Point where he plays a bad-ass yakuza [again] and probably his best film, which also has suicde by gunfire, then Violent Cop, a sort of Bad Lieutenant which also has more death of him, etc...

Kitano is one of a kind... one of my favorite director's and especially actors out there right now...

That's a good pic. It's from Jim Jarmusch's "Night On Earth". It's the story of three or is it four different taxi drivers in different places on Earth. Winona Ryder plays a taxi driver in the US, like New York or some big city, she picks the lady up at the airport. Roberto Benigni also has a great bit as an italian cab driver in this and Tom Waits does the music. I think the last can driver is in Paris, a black dude, a real-life model... forget his name. It's a quirky cult-ish type film, typical Jarmusch stuff, which means anything but typical. Not my favorite of his, but good nonetheless...

yep, it's Night on Earth... except it's 5 stories, there is also the Helsinki (SP?) episode at the end, I think.

Yeah... and you know what, I think the Helsinki one with the snow and the foreigners and the drunk dude who lost his job and has no money was the best one in the film. I liked it cause I didn't know the actors from other stuff, and I identified with being lost and drunk and hopeless and talking to a stranger in a public place/taxi about it...

I don't really care if anyone cheats... anyway, this is one of my favorite films. Just watched it again the other night...
