Eddie Vedder

I dig Eddie's voice too, but most people I've talked to say it's the reason why they DON'T listen to Pearl Jam. I don't get it.
I'll also second the previous mention of David Gahan, as well as throw Alison Goldfrapp into the mix.
Johnny Cash

Most definitely. His voice is especially heartbreaking on his last CD. I'm so enamored of his version of "Hurt."

Layne was hot, too. So is Jerry Cantrell, and I think he has a sexy voice as well.

I love Layne's voice its beautiful but as far as looks are concerned id have to say Sean Kinney, the drummer with the really gorgeous long brown hair, is the best looking, although i think its specifically for the hair.
Oh man, how could I forget about Sean. Damn nice hair. I see we both have a weakness for men with long locks. One of my exes had gorgeous shoulder-length wavy hair, but he got it shaved off one day just because he wanted to shock me. Made me want to weep...and then kill him in a fit of shallow rage.

Ella Fitzgerald (duh)
Sarah Vaughan
Chris Cornell
Billie Holliday (before she smoked it away)
Lou Reed
Some may disagree.... but Christina Aguilera. She does oversing almost everything, and is a skanky whore..... but the girl can sing.
Mother Superior: "Would sir care for a starter? Some garlic bread perhaps?"
Renton: "No, thank you. I'll proceed directly to the intravenous injection of hard drugs, please."
There's just never enough room for all the quotes that seem necessary.

I love Soundgarden, sure, but he's not anywhere near my "great voices" list. To each his/her own.
Beth Gibbons
Maynard James
Bjork
Leonard Cohen
David Bowie
Siouxsie Sioux
Peter Murphy
T-Bone
Real men have raw voices, like Metellica and The Cult. However, as i said before, the most sexy voice belongs to David Sylvian. But i like Robert Smith's voice also. I saw a lot of artist live and the best show goes to Robbie Williams, man he was sexy!

The lead singer's name is Jonsi, right? I didn't know anyone else sang on their albums.
David Bowie a good voice??? nawwww Lou Reed all tha way! haha
You know what is better than earning your own succes through your work and motivation? When someone else does the work and is motivated for you!

sigur ros sounds like a vienna boy's choir escapee.
Shirley Manson and Spider from Powerman 5000 (especially on Watch the Sky for Me). Quite partial to Marilyn Manson as well when he sings in that kind of low, subdued way, Coma White stylee.
Bah.
best low voices in the biz:
Andrew Eldritch
Ian Curtis
Peter murphy
Nico

i should kill you for not mentioning Maynard.
