Gogol Bordello
Any Gogol Bordello fans out there? My wife and I have seen them twice now (in the Twin Cities). Last week when they were here, we got to meet Eugene and get a picture with him.
wonder who will water all the children of the garden when they sigh about the barren lack of rain and droop so hungry 'neath the sky?
I love Gogol Bordello!
I first got into their music after watching Everything is Illuminated a few years ago. Eugene Hutz has a lead role in the movie and a lot of the music is by Gogol Bordello. Pretty neat.
Nothinng Beats Eugene's singing, Also watch wrist cutters, One of the leads is based on Eugene.

Yeah, Eugene has the best energy in their live shows!!
Everything is Illuminated is fantastic. Wrist Cutters was good too, wish they could have had Eugene himself for that one...having Tom Waits in there was great though.
Filth and Wisdom (directed by Madonna) is a fun one. Eugene basically plays himself. Great stuff.
BARO FARO!!!!!!

I love Gogol Bordello <3333
they are so fun
where did you see them?
I've never seen them, but they are so much fun.
I got into them because their song, Start Wearing Purple, was in the movie Everything is Illuminated, and I thought to myself, "That's a great song." I bought the album that day and I still spin it. It's great because it confuses people when I drive around with the windows down and gypsy punk rocking into their brains.

I've seen them at the outdoor stage at The Cabooze, and also at First Ave (both of these are in Minneapolis). Man Man opened at the Cabooze show, they were awesome too, I was totally impressed.
Start Wearing Purple is a great song. Their last two albums are great too. They put out a live disc called Live at Axis Mundi that has a DVD of them playing in NYC. Definitely worth checking out if you've never seen them live...and even if you have.

Yeah man, I saw the along with Flobots at Lupo's Heartbreak Hotel in Providence, Rhode Island. During the show, I was right against the stage, and he flipped his hair and me and my friends got covered in his sweat, it was disgustingly awesome. We even got this great picture of him standing over us, if I remember to, Ill attach it, can't right now though.
Okay, so my wife looks totally crazy cause she's been drinking and now she's ecstatic to be taking a photo with Eugene, but it's still a good pic.

Gogol fucking rocks my socks off. Saw them a few months ago in Anaheim. Their latest album, Trans-Continental Hustle, was just released last month. Nothing has lived up to Gypsy Punks but it's still worth the cash. After three or four listenings it grew on me. Apparently they're playing Lollapalooza this year, which would make it actually worth going to. Then again, I said the same thing about Faith No More playing Coachella and I didn't drop the cake nor make the drive.
Kickass! Gogol's playing two dates in Los Angeles, a month from today
Hell yeah! Gogol are one of the most fun bands you can see. Lots of energy. Lots of fun.
And the new album is just fucking Tops.

That's so awesome! My boyfriend is a huge fan of them and they have a couple of songs that I really love.
