Dark Knight Rises
Perfect in and of itself is subjective anyway. Some call The Godfather the perfect movie. I personally find it boring and drawn out as hell.
List movies that YOU would define as perfect!
The Godfather (sorry Mike)
The Matrix
No Country for Old Men
Collateral
Goodfellas
Uuuh... that's all I can think of right now.
Si vis pacem, para bellum
Planet of the Apes (original)
Beetlejuice
The Goonies
Labyrinth
The Princess Bride
The Lost Boys
12 Monkeys
Flight of the Navigator
Predator
Wizards
I could go on...
The Princess Bride the perfect cheesy romantic comedy ever. I love that movie to the pain.
It is filled with some of the best quotes in any movie ever.
"You mean, you'll put down your rock and I'll put down my sword and we'll try and kill each other like civilized people?"
"... you know how much I love watching you work, but I've got my country's 500th anniversary to plan, my wedding to arrange, my wife to murder and Guilder to frame for it; I'm swamped."
"You fool! You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! The most famous is never get involved in a land war in Asia, but only slightly less well-known is this: never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Ha ha ha..."
"I'm not a witch, I'm your wife! But after what you just said, I'm not even sure I want to be that any more!"
"You've been mostly-dead all day. "
"Oh, what I wouldn't give for a holocaust cloak."
""There is a shortage of perfect breasts in this world; 'twould be a pity to damage yours."
and of course,
""Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die."
and,
"As you wish."
You're all blasphemous for not immediately saying Pulp Fiction. Godfather, definitely. Big Lebowski, 2001 A Space Oddyssey.
"They sold you hippies grunge, hip hop, now liberty activism."
Pulp Fiction's great, but hardly perfect.

Worship Kubrik's manjunk!
This is why we can't have nice things.

I hadn't even noticed the Batman logo in this image until a couple days ago. Facepalm.
I loved this image my friend posted the other day.

What's wrong with Pulp Fiction? And you can say the Bruce Willis/Fabienne intro is dull, but it goes with the theme of that stretch of the movie.
"They sold you hippies grunge, hip hop, now liberty activism."
Guys I gotta side with Giggan on this one. Pulp Fiction is pretty much perfect.
I think that the Godfather is pretty much perfect too (minus III obviously).
I've never seen the Godfater 2 or 3. I can't imagine why I should. 1 is perfect.
Others not already listed might include:
A Clockwork Orange
Casablanca
Citizen Kane
It's A Wonderful Life
Resevoir Dogs
All That Jazz
A Christmas Story
Fight Club?
This is why we can't have nice things.
Is it odd that the first perfect movie that came to mind for me is Pan's Labyrinth?
"I'm glad I live in the GPS era. In a different century, I would've set off to visit the other side of the village and wandered off into the mountains and been eaten by a carnivorous plant. Or discovered the Americas."
-LaJessica
Yes, not perfect!
I think Fight Club is definitely a perfect movie rendition of a book. I read the book after having watched Fight Club a million times and I was tripping out how the movie stuck to the book almost word for word.
Don't we have a thread for perfect movies?
Don't we have a thread for perfect movies?
I was just considering making it when I made my post a few minutes ago.

Isn't the only child of Bruce that is considered canon the one he has with Talia? This movie fucked that pretty hard.
Canon.
This is why we can't have nice things.
I think it's perfect.
Ok.
It's hard to think of perfect movies but off the top 'o me head I'd say,
Pulp Fiction
Star Wars Episode 4: A New Hope (before the special editions)
Back to the Future
I'll think of more.

Helena only exists on Earth Two.

I know what canon means.
I just don't think Nolan cares about comicbook canon.
....
Comicbook writers also don't care about comicbook canon.

FANS DO
"Hey! Let's give the fans what they want for a change." - no comicbook writer ever (except the guy who wrote that whole The-Boy-Wonder-Gets-Blown-Up-And-Dies-Horribly story. That was somewhat gratifying.)
This is why we can't have nice things.
yeah but why
Hubris.
This is why we can't have nice things.
Or, do you mean, "Why did we all so enjoy seeing Robin 'splode?" That one should be self-explanatory.
This is why we can't have nice things.
AAAAAActually, wasn't there a guy that came up with a system to cheat that vote adding a shit-ton of votes for the "Kill Jason" side, and that actually was the deciding factor since they only won by like 72 votes?

How did no one say The Shawshank Redemption for a perfect film?

BATMAN-TALK, PLEASE!
Make a perfect movie thread instead (if there isn't a thread for that already).
OUT!

BATHAMMER!!
:P
Oh, you ain't seen nothing yet.

Mah favorite was Chapter Black.

Catwoman has been announced for Injustice:

Exactly and that's why it was a pretty fucking badass comic book movie that did a great job of wrapping up what it could of the trilogy. I wasn't disappointed. Many movies out there can be improved on but very few that are perfect movies.
