Curiousity
I'm just curious as to what bands you guys listen to.
Mine
Say Anything, The Ramones, Bright Eyes, Brand New, A Day to Remember, The Format, Tom Petty, Breathe Carolina, Marcy Playground, Hellogoodbye, Nirvana, Moldy Peaches, Vampire weekend, Modest Mouse, Dance Gavin Dance, Mumford and sons, The Killers, Julia Nunes.
According to Last.fm, my most listened-to bands since 2004 are The Clash, Nine Inch Nails, Current 93, Motörhead, Johnny Cash, Bauhaus, The Pogues, Public Image Ltd., and Einstürzende Neubauten.
In the last three months, however, I have been listening primarily to Gang of Four, The Rolling Stones, Minutemen, X, The Sisters of Mercy, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Аркона, Public Image Ltd., Anthrax, The Gun Club, and Dzelzs Vilks.
Note that I am old and therefore you shouldn't be listening to *any* of these bands. ;P
Tuffy the Dump Truck may rarely increase the risk of a heart attack or stroke. The risk may be greater if you have heart disease or increased risk for heart disease (for example, due to smoking, family history of heart disease, or conditions such as high blood pressure or diabetes), or with longer use. Tuffy should not be taken right before or after heart bypass surgery. Also, Tuffy may infrequently cause serious (rarely fatal) bleeding from the stomach or intestines. This effect can occur without warning symptoms at any time while taking Tuffy. Older adults may be at higher risk for this effect. (See also Precautions and Drug Interactions sections.) Stop taking Tuffy and get medical help right away if you notice any of the following rare but serious side effects: bloody or black/tarry stools, persistent stomach/abdominal pain, vomit that looks like coffee grounds, chest/jaw/left arm pain, shortness of breath, unusual sweating, weakness on one side of the body, sudden vision changes, slurred speech. Ask your doctor if Tuffy is right for you.
I like his so called whiny-ass voice then.
well, obviously since it's your favorite band
“if you want to be a bird,” you said once, “with colorful plumage and buoyant trills, you must also be ready for hollow bones."
I like newer, happier stuff. The Sounds, Sleigh Bells, Gorillaz (not too happy i guess), Ting Tings, Uffie, Shinichi Osawa, Autokratz, Justice. Fucked Up is pretty good. There's a band called Deathcrush but they only have 2 songs out and no single. I love Arcade Fire. Tiny Victories is new and good.
+a million for The Moldy Peaches.
+3 sleigh bells, justice, arcade fire

What's your favourite Scott Walker, Pete?
Oh, shit - I usually listen to it on pandora or I put a bunch of stuff on my computer on shuffle. There's this one song that I love, and I can never remember the name of it. haha.
Let me check amazon and try to figure it out.
I really really like Scott Walker Sings Jacques Brel. While he didn't write the stuff, I just love that album. I think the song Jackie from that album is the one I was thinking of.
Ah yes, classic! He really made those songs his own,
If you want to check out albums, Scott 1 through 4 has a lot of that stuff. Scott 2 and 4 are my favourites. His later, more recent stuff is very different and dark, but pretty cool too. Also the documentary about him, 30th Century Man, is great. It's on TV every so often.
The documentary is what got me to check out his music. I never finished the doc. But I learned I really like his music.

Right now I'm listening to a lot of Jack Johnson (my two-year-old was watching Curious George twice a day while he was sick) or Disney tunes. Other than that, I'll throw in The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Dave Matthews, Enya, Beethoven, or Vivaldi while the kids are awake. While I'm working out, I'll throw in Avenged Sevenfold, Disturbed, Ozzy (with and without Black Sabbath), Nine Inch Nails, or Metallica (w/ Cliff).
-50 billion for Skrillex
*Shrugs*
lolz, I really don't get the Skrillex thing. those big bass drops just make me laugh
I only listen to that song where the guy yells SAAAIIILLL. I didn't even listen to music until that came out. Your thread title sucks! It doesn't explain what the thread is about. SAIIIL!
Like Kit I was convinced this thread was about the show on Discovery Channel.
You spelled Curiosity wrong.
I thought it would be about the Mars rover.

I am disappoint.

Can we talk about political stuff instead?
Can we not, and just say we did?
