Timb, do a cover of Lean On Me. i love that song.it evokes so much emotion in me. i think you'd sound wonderful singing it. its easy as hell to play too.

I couldn't find a youtube version of the song. There are plenty of covers, but I'd like to hear the OG sing it. No promises, though.

You can barely hear the guitar and I mess up in a few places. Ugh. I'm not very good at playing guitar and singing at the same time if it's songs I'm not familiar with. (I mean, songs I haven't practiced a lot.) I'm still a fledgling guitar player.

Anyway, I may do another take, or I might take it down altogether. But you can't say I didn't contribute.

I hadn't heard this song until about twenty minutes prior to posting that recording....so don't hate. I really liked the song Timbs.....but I obviously struggled with it. I might have to redo it later after listening to it for a while.

Low...by Cracker. This song was made like 5-8 years before it came out. I like it.

That song always takes me back to high school, Ginger McLees, Makers Mark and my first ever BJ.

Not that it matters, but I thought John Lennon wrote this when he was solo from The Beatles. Are maybe he just rerecorded after.

Either way - It's a simple song, but so beautiful. Talk about a minimalist approach to music. The picking is a little tough, but it only uses a few chords and sounds so busy.

I didn't know that about Lennon. Cool! I'll have to check into it. I tried the Lou Reed track...it sounded better than Lou..(in my opinion) but didn't have the same feel he gives. I like Lou Reed on Soundtracks, or when reading...or in background during conversation.

Ha! Now it means even more to me.

That's how I listen to Lou Reed. When I listen to him - it's almost always just in the background when I'm reading or working or doing something where I just want a little music in the background.
