coldplay-the scientist
is most definitely one of the saddest song ever
my eyes tear up whenever i hear it..quite literally
i think its because of bad assoications...of the song and a certain person...oh the good old days of being dazed and confused
but seirously..this song makes me weep
i'm too goddamn sensitive
why must they play it on the radio....

i am so sick of hearing goddamn Coldplay.
life's pretty straight without vidalia :You_Rock_
i love that song. i have a song that always makes me want to cry too. Color Blind by Counting Crows...i think everybody has a song like that.
it sucks because its as if its an involuntary reaction
i tear up and would be like..goddamn you rita be stronger

you wanna hear a really sad song? check out "Just like you imagined" by Nine inch nails, its an instrumental but reeks of pain
The Scientist is one of the greatest music videos I have seen, simple concept but it is just done so damn well.
I like Just like you imagined, but I think NIN's "A Warm Place" is a better great/sad instrumental track they did. One of their best songs if ya ask me.
"Excuse me sir, Did you wash your hands after you took that big heaping dump. You know that sign, that sign says ALL employees MUST wash their hands after using the restroom, What part of that do you not understand?"- Malcom X
"Would you care to lick my sweaty baulz after they have been dipped in the finest venerial juices and sauteed in my own ass-sweat, madam?"- Winston Churchill
i would like to place a votefor Coldplay.
some time ago i barely missed out on tickets to see them in a small venue in Denver, like only seating 200 people small; they came to Denver again recently, all popular now, and were at (i think) the Pepsi center, which seats like 20,000+. =(
i didn't even try to see them the second time around. what's the point?
which album was "a warm place" on? i know i remember that song
chris rock was right
its like slitting your wrist...
listening to coldplay
but i want that special edition dvd/cd they just put out

i love coldplay so much, but only in small doses. too much, and i feel suicidal
exactly
crying makes my eyes sore
so yes...in moderation
seriously..i would be sitting in my room and someone would play it and i will start crying

The Downward Spiral
I like the song...my problem with it is that "questions of science and progress do not speak as loud as my hard"..thats overdoing it a bit much but otherwise its a great song.
Then again, I might be wrong.
questions of science and progress
do not speak as loud as my heart
trust me...it's ....think about it..do you choose logic over the visceral gut wrenching feeling?
i assoicated this song with this stupid friendship i had with the boy. so everytime i hear "let's go back to the start"...i'm like...yes, let it go back to the start and leave the mess we're in

that's the dangers of radio
clocks was so good until they overplayed it..but i do like the remixes
see that's why i stopped listening to radio and would only listen to id-t.com or bbc. then i realized...bbc rocks...but aside from its speciality shows...it sucks..its just like regular radio..playing the same old top 40 crappy pop
but i do lovet he speciality shows....that's where it's at

"The Scientist" took a while to grow on me, but I really like it now. When I first got the CD, I would listen to "Politik" and "In My Place", then skip straight to "Clocks", "Daylight", "Green Eyes" and "Warning Sign".
the scientist is indeed good, though it does lose some appeal from being played so much.
my favorite is everythings not lost.. in concert, it was a truly beautiful experience as they really milked the awawyeah part. i love that so much.. there is so much feeling invested in it that is part the song itself and part experience.. i cant articulate its goodness.. tis ineffable.
and i like everything else too. their albums are the absolute best background music for anything, from happiness to sadness, all along the emotion spectrum. cheesy, sure, but they have a very humanistic element that can make them ideal for any situation, and can imbue experiences with so much feeling that they become something truly meaningful. nearly any song would be wonderful as background to many situations in film, and would be completely perfect as end credit music for anything either emotionally heavy [on either the sad, angry or positive side], or for something with some sort of cerebral finish.. just totally ideal to be in the background of anything.
and they are extremely good driving music.
with a bit of luck, his life was ruined forever. always thinking that just behind some narrow door in all of his favorite bars, men in red woolen shirts are getting incredible kicks from things he'll never know.
i like that song 'strange and beautiful' by aqualung... is the album similar?
It's easily the best cd of 2003. atleast in my opinion
I mean, a male chauvinist pig isn't born, he's made, and more and more of them are being made by women
easily, hm? how many other tens of cds did you listen to this year?
I think that Coldplay is overrated.
I like two songs on A Rush of Blood to the Head: Politik and The Scientist (which was filmed near my house, incidentally) But the rest are very dull.
Parachutes was a better album, I like: Don't Panic, Everything's Not Lost and Yellow.
My friend John had this relationship that lasted a year with my other friend Andrea, anyways this was their song.

strange and beautiful...i like it but it is creepy non? or was it some of their other songs.... sort of stalkerish...tortured romanticish.
the scientist is not a good "song" for that sort of deal...if you get my drift

I think its a really good song. Ive always loved coldplay. Have you heard 'Green Eyes' i think its number 7 on Rush of blood.. its a good pick me up
Now i dont tear up but one song that just makes me stupid and all that loggy shit is 'Sparks' that song is great. Its off their first album But not for the sensitive of heart.
