Blue Jam
First off, does anyone else know what this is? Personally I would love to just find other fans.
Secondly, I've been listening to Blue Jam alot lately, it seems like it's the only thing that helps me sleep lately. Was just wondering if Chris Morris is in a class of his own (which is he undisputaly is) or if there is anything else out there like this.
Is Blue Jam a band?
I was looking for Blue Jam the radio series Chris Morris did for the BBC in the 90s
ALSO, if it is a band, I'm always down for new music, and I will check it out if you recomend it.
Never mind, I blew my own gag.
This is why we can't have nice things.
DAMN! Now I get it, and I feel terrible, I fucked up a genuinely decent joke.
Blue Cheer, however, IS a band.
And Blue Sabbath Black Cheer.
This is why we can't have nice things.
and Blues Magoos
AHH!! Yall are killing me, I was looking for a very specific group... inside another very specific group.
Noone has ever heard of Blue Jam?
Surely?
Someone from the UK can back me up? This is INDEED, a thing that exists....?
*EDIT NOTE* Don't tell me Chris Morris is invinted in my head, because I may believe you, and I don't think I could handle that.
I believe you that it exists, looking it up I see that Graham Linehan of Black Books and The IT Crowd fame was a writer on some of it.
Have you ever heard the Mighty Boosh radio series? You might check those out.
there's always this.....
I know of the Mighy Boosh, and I love Black Books and IT Crowd. I watched the Mighty Boosh one time while coming down off mushrooms, and I didn't really get it, but I got nothing but time and insomnia, and Im more down for the radio show than the TV one. Im getting it now, thanks for the sugestion.
BTW, is this like That Mitchell and Webb Sound? I want more that "ambient comedy" sound
Yeah you don't want to be on any kind of drugs when you watch The Boosh. You really don't need it!
I'm not sure what 'ambient comedy' really means? The Boosh radio show is a similar premise to the first series of the tv show, two guys, work in a zoo, weird things happen, there are random songs and little other things. It's certainly surreal.
"ambient comedy" is what it is listed under in wikipedia, and I found it apppropriate. But yea, I'll probably get the might boosh, my little brother's been trying to get me into it for almost a year, and as much as a dumbass as he is, we have similar taste.
Chris Morris is great though. Love this cameo he made in Alan Partridge:
I want to move to England so bad, but Chris Morris and Mitchell and Webb are about the only reasons, and that hardly seems solid enough to put on a visa...
If you like Mitchell and Webb you'll probably like the tv series Peep Show
I love Peep Show, it was very good, up there with Black Books and Father Ted. Im just looking for something to listen to at night.
I just want to say i love Peep Show and sometimes i'm in my car or out somewhere and i'll think of something from the show and start laughing. People think i'm laughing at them.
I know what you mean.

My favorite one is where they take the Rainbow Rhythms dance class. Or where Jeremy eats the burned up dog on the boat. Really they're all my favorite.
Super Hans lives near me. I see him wandering around with his baby strapped to his chest in a sling. He still looks like a man who has lived three times in the same skin.
On the Morris front - love him.
I assume you've (Juggalo bloke) seen The Day Today and Brass Eye? Or listened to On The Hour (the Radio 4 show that The Day Today was based on)? Not as head-mashed as Jam/Blue Jam, but bloody funny.
Armando Iannucci had a big hand in Morris's early success and his comic "voice", I think.
The Armando Iannucci Show is underrated, as is Time Trumpet.
All of the above might use too many UK references (particularly Time Trumpet) to make much sense at times.
e.g. ever watch University Challenge?
I don't like Juggalo and his anglophilia. I find it kind of annoying. Like he juggles up here and says a lot of British TV programmes and expects everyone to be...impressed? I just find this annoying. The other day he said Bernard Black was English! That's so irritating! He's Irish and only some ignorant wannabe would manage to fuck that up. He asks for places to live in the UK and I suggested about six separate slums around here and he didn't even bother to respond. What was the point? Why even ask? He's so annoying. Then I forget about him and then he shows up again and it's like uuuuuuuuggh. He's so, so annoying. Another annoying Anglophile is David Schwimmer. Fin.
Give him a break. He's just a kid. He doesn't know yet that he's supposed to hate the stinky English.
This is why we can't have nice things.
Turns out you're right, my angry Welsh pal
I enjoyed that outburst too.
Funny, on the way to work i was thinking about Peep Show because i told someone to fuck off and i was trying to think of where i picked up saying it so much. Then i decided to watch some episodes tonight before i go out because it'll put me in a good mood.
He will never look at this thread again. In two weeks he will create a new thread called "Modern Toss".
Americans who never shut the fuck up about how superior British television shows are annoy the piss out me. They should be charged with treason and put up against the wall next to the Canadaphiles and Weeaboos.
That said, Luther is a pretty great show.

Hee. I forgot about Weeaboos.
This is why we can't have nice things.
What the hell are Weeaboos?
To the google!
Oh my god, my sister is totally a Weeaboo!
I had to google weeaboo too. hehe three words in a row with a oo.
What about those Estonians who constantly harp on about how great Albanian TV sitcoms are?
AGGGHHH I HATE THEM SO MUCH!!!!!! GNFFFHHH!!!
F The Estonians.
Daudz laimes dzimšanas dienā.
This is why we can't have nice things.
Yeah!
Su ema oli hamster ja su isa haises leedrimarjad!!!!

Their first demo recording, "Blue Waffles" was pretty amazing. Have you heard it?
