If Bill Hicks were alive today he would have already done guest spots on Family Guy not to mention The Simpsons, would have hosted SNL 3 times, have about 2-4 failed sitcoms and talk shows, and would be appearing in Taco Bell and Coke ads.

You guys who don't know who Bill Hicks is, really need to look up some videos.

I feel like the guy was a genius. Maybe not quite, but I think he was pretty smart. And he put great spins on things and really made you think.

About a month ago one of those "If you know who this is, but don't know who this is..." images was going round on Facebook with Bill Hicks and this awful UK reality tv guy on. I reposted it and some of my 'less cultured' friends got a bit arsey.

BBC4 aired a documentary on him after Christmas. It was called American: The Bill Hicks story. It was excellent - I really recommend.

I think that one documentary might be an instant video on Netflix. I could be wrong though.
