What's this from?

Good to see ya back too Klop. I've been missing your abstract sense of humor...Actually, I've not, but then I didn't know how to end the sentence...

And how the hell can you try to turn around what i said by saying the exact same thing i said, only replacing the band with another? i mean, for me not to appreciate irony, you'd have to actually be ironic, not moronic.

styles? generally, emo, rock, alternative, punk. specifically, alkaline trio, at the drive-in, brand new, dashboard, death cab for cutie, distillers, drive like jehu, elliot smith, finch, further seems forever, get up kids, hot snakes, ima robot, jets to brazil, mars volta, modest mouse, motion city soundtrack, nerf herder, no use for a name, placebo, pretty girls make graves, reel big fish, reggie and the full effect, rocket from the crypt, saves the day, something corporate, sunny day real estate, taking back sunday, thursday, turbonegro and weezer are all currently in my playlist.

wow compare godspeed and mogwai to phish is complete stupidity. other than that mogwai isnt this new age shit and godspeed put out there first record in 96/97. as for explosioins in the sky if you like godspeed even a little this stuff is just more in your face rock and a lot more shortwinded than godspeed. same as mogwai.

[/B][/QUOTE] whatever, they are the new 'jam' band. they could be musical geniouses for all i know, but i wouldn't know cause i can't stand to listen to them. Nobody wants to listen to 20 minute songs about nothing.

It's good background music, but I can't just sit there and jam to it. I saw Godspeed live awhile back and it was a great show. Really beautiful. Hardly a favorite band or anything, but I like their music when I'm in the mood for it. (Which is usually pretty rare.)

Alkaline Trio? Only heard a few of their songs. They're ok, kinda boring, not really my kinda stuff. Neil did list a couple of good bands, though.

Although I don't care for Weezer's new stuff. Pinkerton had a couple of decent songs, but their first album was the only one that was really any good.

As for Mogwai and Sigur Ros - about the same feelings as I have for Godspeed. I think Godspeed is better, but the other two have their moments, too.
