im not playing stereotypes
not everyone is a beautiful and unique snowflake
lots of people need to hitch to a label or group or clique or whatever for whatever reason, attention, validation, security, whatever
if someone IS a mall goth, im not paying stereotypes, they are

i hate mall goths
but that doesnt make them bad people, im not trying to be insulting

nobody listens to nin except mall goths and lazy would-be industrial fans

please someone tell me why i have this elitist reputation? i praise more music than i bash

i'd agree that you are in fact an elitist. why? well, you seem to have very selective tastes (yeah, that's a retarded thing for me to say, but it's like - too selective, or something) and let the fans of certain groups/musicians influence your opinion of said group/musician more than you should. i'm guilty of this too now & then, most everyone here is to some extent - you just seem to do it a whole lot. i'm probably full of shit, but whatever.

art is someones thoughts. so if i dont like that person, odds are i wont like their thoughts, and thus their art.

ok so you're an elitist. this isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Six girls in his sigs.
Might be a sign of total rock hard gayness.

Back on Topic:

Outkast

They are amazing, one of the best rap groups out there right now and one of my favorites, but with their new album they have really become the darling of every hip white kid in America. I love Andre and Big Boi, I even own some Outkast pants, but they are probably on the verge of not being as hip as they once were for the stupid reason too many hip people liking something makes it un-hip.

If you haven't heard any Outkast download "Bombs Over Baghdad" thats my favorite song.

yeah, because the rest of us only listen to stuff that we think is horrible and that we can't stand hearing.

and, really, klop, tell me something else about myself. i'm interested--it's always so enlightening how you think you know who i am based on who my favorite band happens to be.

i'm not going to apologize for what i like. even if you seem to think calling me ridiculous third-grader names will make me do that.

get off your fucking high horse. people like what they like. deal with it.

i mean, isn't it inconvenient to wander around so concerned with what everyone else likes and whether or not you approve? doesn't it get tiring to continually tell someone else what to do? does it ever get old to continually carry on your i'm-so-superior act? wouldn't you ever like to make real conversation rather than taking cheap shots at people you don't know the first fucking thing about?

see, the rest of us are conversational elitists. we'd only sign up for a message board if we found the conversation and people there, for the most part, enjoyable.

damn, i could keep going . . . but then, going by how many supposedly un-hip bands return in a decade or two, its hard to really say.
