If you have a slow connection and don't want to wait, when it was time for her second song the wrong song was played, so she started "singing" before she got anywhere near the mic. The sound guy turned the vocal tape off, but it was too late. She tried ignoring it and dancing around, but it fucked her timing up, and she ran off stage!!

Ugh! It couldn't have happened to a more deserving person, but this is just one of those few moments in television history where I can literally feel absolutely ashamed and embarassed just by watching this nightmare. You can literally feel the failure and humiliation seeping out of your computer monitor as you're watching it. Its like I want to laugh and applaud, but all I can do is just cringe.

Unforunately, in todays day and age this probably won't kill her career like it killed theirs. People are much more forgiving of this sort of thing now. All of those people admit to it. I don't remember when but Britney Spears admits to lip-synching in concert and I'm sure the other Simpson woman does.

No, it's Ashlee's voice, I think that they played the vocal track because Ashlee's voice is never consistent because she has a cyst on her vocal chords that can make it hard for her to sing at times.
