Anyone remember the movie "Dreamcatcher?"
Haha, I just remembered the down-syndrome guy screaming Mr.Gay through the whole movie. If you didn't know, Mr.Gay was the evil alien overlord. I'm not sure how you can actually reply to this but if you saw it, you can revel in that memory.
the alien causing uncontrollable flatulence and then shooting out the guys ass was much funnier
poor steven king movies...riddled with shitty shit
thinner, the stand, IT(tim curry is awesome though), Dreamcatcher,Christine, the made for tv version of the shining.
wow wait the only ones i really like are pet cemetary, the shining and carrie. OH! and the creepshow stuff he did was actually awesome.
I saw this at the pictures but barely remember it. I think it was because the main character was a ginge, that just turned me off right away.
I actually really enjoyed the characters in that movie, but thought the plot and story and conclusion all sucked. The characters had heart, and they were funny at times...especially the toothpick guy. The scene with the lady sitting in the middle of the street was funny, too. But remember when the drunk pissed his name in the snow and it was all fancy? Bullshit, man, nobody can piss that accurately, what's the guy got a super soaker for a dick?
Isn't it Mr. Gray?
Best things in that movie are
1. The alien designs were pretty cool (the snakes with teeth)
2. Mr. Freeman (great actor by the way) playing the bad guy (that was a strange thing to see, he is always doing this "Old good hearted guy who has all the experience and shares it", so playing the evil guy get´s kinda funny for him, I didn´t bought it)
The best Stephen king movie IMO was MISERY (gotta love/hate Kathy Bates) now THAT´S scary. And APT PUPIL ( Ian Mckellan playing the NAZI he IS a talented guy)
But Stephen king tends to use always the same basic plot (group of teenagers + trauma + reunion of them years ago trying to overcome the trauma that haunts them, he uses that on IT. on STAND BY ME, on DREAMCATCHER)

With over 60 novels you can expect two or three of them to resemble each other, plotwise or not.

its more in the ones that get chosen to be films than the novels themselves

Yes Misery was very good! And let's not forget the Shining!
I thought Dreamcatcher was good, rly promising at first actually... with the psychic powers and stuff I was thinking, cool! Then when all the alien stuff started happening I was like 'WTF?' which made all the people I was watching the film with ( on a laptop in a tent, sitting on camping cahirs with duvets on the Isle of Wight ) go SHHHHHHHHH!
The book was much better.
Like most of Stephen King's novels that involved crazy alien/monsters, it was a good book until the last chapter (see also: IT, Desperation, Rose Madder, Insomnia)

I didn't like the movie. It didn't really scare me. But, I did laugh at the part of which you speak.
