anybody like metal?

i like all forms of rock and roll. some of my favorite metal bands are Incubus, It Dies Today, and Lamb of God. there are mony others but im in a hurry and i cant think of them.

actually incubus has cd that is metal. S.C.I.E.N.C.E they do some crazy stuff. they actually classified it as metal themselves. that cd and Make Yourself are the only 2 i like. the others are ok i guess.

also i just want to say that anyone who likes the band GWAR is a dumbass with bad taste

I listen to Dragonforce. Well I say listen I hear it from time to time. Then I have to take a paracetamol and lie down for a nap. This is how I feel about metal. It's a child's genre and I am too old.

Thats most of them, Kalmah and Children of Bodom being my favs. I also listen to Tool and Nine inch nails alot.
Ive only been into Metal for 2yrs now, but I believe im on a good start. fav sub-genre being melodic death metal.

Brother Supremo, Turisas is great, the whole Battle Metal album is awesome. I dig track 9 a lot, Sahti-Waari.

I grew up on KISS, then Black Sabbath, Ozzy, Van Halen, Rush, and so on.

But I drew the line at Van Hagar, and really almost everything since then. I like Tool, Pearl Jam, a few others. I know, Pearl Jam is supposedly Grunge which is supposedly not heavy metal, but it walks like a fucking duck. Quack.

Sorry, SCIENCE is far from metal, love Incubus, may have been harder than there other albums but no where near metal.

Amen is one of my favorite bands ever. Love Danzig, Killswitch Engage, Ministry and lots of others. Love metal but not my favorite genre, old school punk is hard to beat.

Pfft, the only difference between punk and metal is the magazines the bands give interviews to. I like Every Time I Die.

As I Lay Dying, Underoath and Norma Jean are all pretty damn good bands.

I wasn't even aware that Norma jean was Christian. And as for Underoath - The CD Act of Depression and Cries from the past was sweet.

I dont care about that christian thing, and in fact i dont understand it...I like there music, and its not like they are allways singing about christ, God or whatever...

Heared an interview with Ronnie James Dio this morning. I like him, especially the shit with Sabbath. I guess he's back there, fucking Ozzy's first love.

Dio and Sabbath are touring under the name "Heaven and Hell", which is from the first Dio era Sabbath album. I think I might see them when they tour.

I had the impression they were touring as Sabbath, but with only like three new songs.

im just gonna set up some rules, here. the [adultswim] metal head thread, which is the most successful thread in those boards, has a huge list of rules at the beginning, and i think it has helped.

there will be no talk of nu-metal, metalcore, or rap metal (unless it is in reference to how much you hate them).
avoid flaming as much as possible
those who do not enjoy metal have no place here, because dropping by to say "i cant understand a thing they say" or "all they do is bark" is quite asinine.
