There are several bands named Incubus, including a thrash metal band . . . but I'll go ahead and assume that the thrash metal band isn't the one in question.
Anyways, I like:
Amon Amarth
Celtic Frost
Opeth
Slayer
Mastodon
Burzum
Down
Pantera
Deicide
Dimmu Borgir
Emperor
Enslaved
Anaal Nathrakh
King Diamond
Lard
Ministry
Meshuggah
Nailbomb
Motorhead
White/Rob Zombie
Danzig
Superjoint Ritual
Sepultura
Tool
Black Sabbath(W/Ozzy or W/Dio)
Sturmgeist
Prong
I'm missing a whole lot more metal bands. :headbang: :sgrin: :headbang: :sgrin:
Lot of great sub-genres of metal, but what's quickly becoming my favorite?

They are industrial metal. I forgot them in my list. That new live dvd of theirs is pretty good. More flamethrowers than ever.

I don't know if it's what you're looking for
Quiet Riot

actually incubus has cd that is metal. S.C.I.E.N.C.E they do some crazy stuff. they actually classified it as metal themselves. that cd and Make Yourself are the only 2 i like. the others are ok i guess.
also i just want to say that anyone who likes the band GWAR is a dumbass with bad taste
I kinda grew out of metal the day hair started appearing on my balls.
However, Faith no More always will be my favourite band.
im more old school,
-------------------------------JUDAS PRIEST--------------------------------
(best metal of all times)
Other fav bands are
Iron maiden (I liked Dickinson CHEMICAL WEDDING a lot)
Motley crue
Helloween
Therion
Megadeth
Pantera
Royal hunt
Manowar (the music because the lyrics sucks big time)
Also like industrial bands like WHite zombie, Marilyn Manson, KMFDM, Rammstein,
Or bands like Moonspell, type of negative, elend,
Just to name a few....
I'm quite partial to tungsten.
I listen to Dragonforce. Well I say listen I hear it from time to time. Then I have to take a paracetamol and lie down for a nap. This is how I feel about metal. It's a child's genre and I am too old.
for some reason I never liked screaming vikings-like-guys dressed in s/m leather making songs about devil and killing dragons

I also enjoy metal that puts hair on your balls.
Tech metal for life.
Between the buried and me
Into The Moat
Ed Gein
I think that's actually the only metal I listen too.
You know how some people find Jesus? I found Slayer. I don't understand why I haven't been listening to them since I was 12*. I'm rockin' out like a motherfucker.
*This is a lie.
Amon Amarth
At The Gates
Bloodbath
Cannibal Corpse
Celtic Frost
Children of Bodom
Dew-Scented
Dragonforce
Ensiferum
Finntroll
Hammerfall
Heaven Shall Burn
Iced Earth
Isis
Kalmah
Krisiun
Lamb of God
Meshuggah
Nevermore
Nightwish
Nile
Otep
Rammstein
Satyricon
Strapping Young Lad
Slayer
Swallow The Sun
The Sword
Turisas
Vital Remains
Zyklon
Thats most of them, Kalmah and Children of Bodom being my favs. I also listen to Tool and Nine inch nails alot.
Ive only been into Metal for 2yrs now, but I believe im on a good start. fav sub-genre being melodic death metal.
I'd like you to tell me that you are a false prophet and that God is a superstition.
Brother Supremo, Turisas is great, the whole Battle Metal album is awesome. I dig track 9 a lot, Sahti-Waari.
I'd like you to tell me that you are a false prophet and that God is a superstition.
I grew up on KISS, then Black Sabbath, Ozzy, Van Halen, Rush, and so on.
But I drew the line at Van Hagar, and really almost everything since then. I like Tool, Pearl Jam, a few others. I know, Pearl Jam is supposedly Grunge which is supposedly not heavy metal, but it walks like a fucking duck. Quack.

Sorry, SCIENCE is far from metal, love Incubus, may have been harder than there other albums but no where near metal.
I think I like X Japan

Amen is one of my favorite bands ever. Love Danzig, Killswitch Engage, Ministry and lots of others. Love metal but not my favorite genre, old school punk is hard to beat.
Pfft, the only difference between punk and metal is the magazines the bands give interviews to. I like Every Time I Die.

So you stopped listening to metal this morning? haha... Just razzin' ya.
And, yes, Faith No More rules...

Well I always preferred Barry Gibb.
Why did they call it metal though?
Metal is a limited resource, they should have called it Solar Enerfgy, an enviromentally friendly way of life!
throw your english skirts in the air and get down to the beat of the metal rhythms!
show me one metal song that has anything even close to a rhythm

some guy called sabbath "lead-bellied" in a review way back when. he said the guitar riffs sounded metallic.
love,
tom of the fjords
gwar has its moments. try listening to "immortal corruptor" or "we are your enemy" or "krosstica."
brother supremo and masochism: good tastes.
didnt kalmah do that europe cover and not children of bodom?

I highly recommend nightwish. Kind of rock-opera.
I think Within Temptation is better than Nightwish but don't give a crap about neither of them so I won't argue about it.

If you like them you should listen to Therion
"serious rock opera"
Darkest Hour! (Its trash/metal/metalcore)
Haste The Day, As I Lay Dying, Lamb Of God, Between the buried and me, Converge, Black Dahlia Murder, Heaven Shall Burn, Caliban, Unearth, etc, This are mostly Metalcore bands...
I like playing metal in Guitar Hero 2, but thats about it.

I love Metal Gear Solid but that's only metal thing about which I can say that...

"Ratamahatta" that´s a sepultura song. And has a lot of rhythm.
It was recorded with an amazon tribe. pretty cool stuff
I hate Christian Metal. Stryper, P.O.D., As I Lay Dying, Underoath, Norma Jean, Demon Hunter.
Fuck you, metal is for Satan!
:sgrin: :sgrin: :sgrin: :sgrin: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:
Also hate rap metal.

As I Lay Dying, Underoath and Norma Jean are all pretty damn good bands.
I wasn't even aware that Norma jean was Christian. And as for Underoath - The CD Act of Depression and Cries from the past was sweet.
I dont care about that christian thing, and in fact i dont understand it...I like there music, and its not like they are allways singing about christ, God or whatever...
Ppl give to much importance to that...
Heared an interview with Ronnie James Dio this morning. I like him, especially the shit with Sabbath. I guess he's back there, fucking Ozzy's first love.
When we call soccer 'football' the terrorists have won.
Dio and Sabbath are touring under the name "Heaven and Hell", which is from the first Dio era Sabbath album. I think I might see them when they tour.

I had the impression they were touring as Sabbath, but with only like three new songs.
When we call soccer 'football' the terrorists have won.
im just gonna set up some rules, here. the [adultswim] metal head thread, which is the most successful thread in those boards, has a huge list of rules at the beginning, and i think it has helped.
there will be no talk of nu-metal, metalcore, or rap metal (unless it is in reference to how much you hate them).
avoid flaming as much as possible
those who do not enjoy metal have no place here, because dropping by to say "i cant understand a thing they say" or "all they do is bark" is quite asinine.
love,
tom of the fjords
LIMP BIZKIT STYLE!
Yeah, I used to like them when I was 15. Jesus.
