A Fan of Faith No More
Their major break-through album, "The Real Thing" was awesome, but was it really better than "We Care A Lot"? Your opinion? How about "Angel Dust"?
Who is your favorite lead singer?
Also, any Mr. Bungle fans here? While enjoyable, I felt they relied too heavily on a Zappa-esqe schtick that was ultimately totally unnecessary.
This is why we can't have nice things.
My opinion on Faith No More is mixed, even if a friend from back in the day did one of their album covers ("King for a Day" I think the album was called). Even moreso on Mike Patton's side projects, but "Lovage" would definitely end up in my top 10.
The first Faith No More album I ever heard was King for A Day, Fool For a Lifetime. It was recommended to me by someone.
Didn't like it at first, but I was retarded back then. A year or two after I bought the CD, still retarded, I re-listened to it and fucking loved it.
I listen to it more often than any of the other albums.
Also quite fond of Patton's side project with King Buzzo, Fantomas.

The Real Thing is the first album I bought on cassette when I got my first legit stereo system. I was 10. The are the band that I have been a fan of longer than any other band... 21 years now.
I'm flying out to San Francisco to see them play their first US shows in like 13 years. So yeah, you could say I'm a fan.
I don't think I could pick out a favorite album, they are all great, IMO. Though if I had to narrow it down, it would probably be The Real Thing or King For a Day...
Outside of FNM, I'm also a huge Patton fan and I've seen most of his side projects live, including Lovage (which I would also consider a top-10 album).
I actually like Angel Dust the best as a whole, but you have to love the song Falling to Pieces.
Last fall I was pissed when I found out a day late they toured through Mainz, Germany, which is all of a 10 minute drive from where I live.

This thread title has me laughing all day. Im easy pleased.
Mike Patton + John Zorn = Extreme jazz chops.
Mike Patton + Dillinger Escape Plan = 4 of the best songs in mathcore history.
The man can do no wrong.

Faith No More is a great band regardless of who is in it and I can't help but love almost all of their songs. Too hard to chose a favorite song of theirs.
i aint here to live, i'm just here to dream

I have no idea what mathcore is, but I love those 4 songs. I haven't listened to that in FOREVER.
I an a big Mr. Bungle fan. I think Mike Patton is a genius.

It's just what Dillinger are dumped in with.

Haven't heard any of patton's other projects besides Mr. Bungle and Naked City, but Angel Dust has been in rotation around here pretty much constantly since it came out. Same with Real Thing, before that.
I probably heard the first 2 albums at some point, but they never stuck. And I know I've heard King for a Day at least five times all the way through, but somehow it never made it past my ears.
Album of the Year is probably my second favorite, tho it's not quite as visceral as Angel Dust. Have to check out those other Patton projects...
would anybody tell me if i was gettin'... stupider?
A Fan of Faith No More.....
LOL! I SEE WHAT YOU DID THERE!!

Everytime I listen to Mr Bungle, someone tells me to turn it off. The only album I have of their's is Disco Volante.
