2009 Must-See Movies.
Is Avatar a must see movie? I saw the trailer and it was scary and also awesome. But I wasn't sober so who knows if its good!

It looks meh to me, but that's neither here nor there, since it's a 2010 Must-See Movie.
It's probably already been mentioned.. but is it just me or does Sorority Row look absolutely terrible?
What I have shown you is reality. What you remember... that is the illusion.
I just saw the trailer for that Invention of Lying the other day. I'm not much of a Ricky Gervais fan, but it looks good.

OK, so the bad news is I haven't seen many movies on my list. The good news is I didn't spend any money on Wolverine, Transformers, Taking of Pelham, G.I. Joe or Terminator. I'm sad I didn't get to see Brothers Bloom in theaters, and I still planning on checking out 9 in theaters, despite the iffy reviews, and I'm still incredible stoked for the new Michael Haneke movie, along with Where the Wild Things Are and The Road.
My favorite movies of the year, thus far, and in no particular order after the first two:
Moon
Goodbye Solo
The Limits of Control
(500) Days of Summer
District 9
Paper Heart
Inglourious Basterds
The Hurt Locker
Star Trek
The Hangover
Paper Heart
Really? I didn't see it, but it looked absolutely dreadful.
It was really cutesy, but well put together and well acted and clever, and I was really happy and joyful while watching it.
Fair enough.
That doesn't come out here til November but doesn't it have Michael Cera in? He's more cutesy than any human can comprehend.

I just saw The Fantastic Mr Fox and it was truly fantastic, best film I've seen all year. I wasn't sure about it before, but it's genuinely enjoyable for adults as well as kids. Anderson took the way the characters in his other movies talk and put it into the mouths of animals, and it works unbelievable well. There's some great dead-pan humour, particularly a moment with the villain who's voiced by Michael Gambon berating a singer. And they replace every swear word with the word 'cuss'. So they say things like "Are you cussing with me?" and "He's cussing with my head!" and (I'm not making this up) "It's going to be a total cluster-cuss!". I loved it.
!
saw the trailer during cloudy with a chance of meatballs, which i loved, and thought it looked awesome. once i heard clooney speak his first words i knew he'd be perfect. the animation seems really refreshing too. anyone here seen men who stare at goats?

I've not seen Men Who Stare... but I'm waiting with bated breath. I've slowly become a fan of George Clooney in the past couple years as I despised him previously.
I'm also excited to see A Serious Man. I'm as much in love with the Coens as any heterosexual male can be. Geniuses.
I'm still waiting for The Road and for Michael Haneke's newest movie, and I still plan on seeing Where the Wild Things Are, I just haven't gotten around to it yet.
Is the entire movie made up of whip-pans like his other films are?
"It is true, that which I have revealed to you; there is no God, no universe, no human race, no earthly life, no heaven, no hell. It is all a dream - a grotesque and foolish dream. Nothing exists but you. And you are but a thought - a vagrant thought, a useless thought, a homeless thought, wandering forlorn among the empty eternities."
well lets see
1. sherlock holmes
2. bad liutenant
3. the men who stare at ghosts
4. a serious man
thats about it the rest of the movies am dying to see are coming nest year. i have the biggest hard on for clash of the titans and prince of persia.i trully cant wait for these.
The Men Who Stare At Goats, not Ghosts, was funny, but about 2/3 the way through you could tell the filmmakers were eager to wrap it up and be done with it.
'the road' opens in a couple days.
Worlds Greatest Dad was really good. I also watched Assassination of a High School President, which was only okay. It seemed like a weak Brick.
I also can't wait for The Road.

That is so true!

I saw it recently, and I can safely say it's a decent movie.
