What is this book?

A few months ago I read in Word Magazine an article on a bunch of books, that shud be made into films and how various attempts had failed.
One of the books was about a killer who hunts transvestites, but I didn't take down the name and now its really buggin me.
Anyone know??

i didn't go to that but he says he was signing books the whole time, he publishes a monthly mag here so people are aware of him.
