Welcome To The Monkey House by Kurt Vonnegut
For those that haven't read it yet, Welcome to the Monkey House is a collection of Vonnegut's short stories from the 50's and 60's. I can't praise this book enough; most of what I like about it is Vonnegut's distinctive style of storytelling: it's dark and apocalyptic, but at the same time optimistic. My favorite stories in the collection are: "Welcome to The Monkey House," "Miss Temptation," "Who Am I This Time," and "The Kid Nobody Could Handle." Give this book a chance and you won't be sorry.
