Under the Banner of Heaven
I started this book last night and it's good so far. I like Krakauer so I should like this book just as well. Into Thin Air I loved and Into the Wild I thought was good but not as good as Into Thin Air.
Anyone read this one? How is it?

I wondered the same thing myself. I loved Into Thin Air and Into The Wild was really good as well. I've had this book in my hands at the bookstore so many times - but I always put it back to buy something else...

I'm going to assume you're talking dirty to me because I'm the Book Club god.
I got it at a used place for about $1.50... or free since I had a trade coupon. So far it's ok. I don't care for the way he opens every chapter with a long quote. The format of this one's no different than the others. And it's hard to beat flat out human suffering and fear. This one's not quite as immediate.

I didn't like under the banner of heaven to much but into thin air is one of my favorite books.
