I’ve found them! If you have been searching the web for a few years now and are a fan of Salinger you might have encountered various websites of controversial nature. You might remember the Holden Caulfield server that displayed different quotes and then got shut down leaving you with a note from the Salinger’s lawyers. You also might remember the hype of Hapworth 16, 1924 and the preparations that were being made for the rerelease of the story in 1997 and then Amazon giving a date and then the date disappearing, leaving us fans teased and drooling with a sad case of blueballs. Perhaps you’ve been searching bookfinder.com for the controversial unpublished works, maybe digging through ebay, antique stores, for anything you haven’t read a jillion times. Perhaps, sadly, you’ve been waiting for him to die and for something, anything to be let loose to us devoted fans.
It’s been a while since I’ve googled him but I’ve found it! And goddam do I feel so fucking giddy, ashamed and even selfish, But here you go. And I hope like hell that I don’t get held with any of the responsibility. And you can rest assured that the site will be shut down shortly. But line up while you can and get your fucking plate full, because this is what we’ve been waiting for. So I know that there is another book club activity but if anyone is interested in a discussion and a reading of these story by story, through emails or through the forum please feel fucking free, because I’m dropping everything now for this.

I've found a nice site, linked to the download page that I thought I should point out. There are some very interesting things on the page.

Check it out:

And I will be doing one story a week. Starting with The Young Folks, ending with Hapworth. I'll talk about the Giles Weaver letters to the Phoenix and fish out whatever other information I can. This first discussion will begin March 9th.

I am very excited and hope that some of you guys , knoxville, g5d, moe., mr manning, diabetic, godspeed, will participate.

I just recently googled around for Salinger because I reread 9 stories, but I only found teenage pages that praise the Cather in the Rye.

Thanks you very much for these links. I have problems with opening the Word and Zip files, but the html-s work fine. I'll just have to do some copy-paste-ing.

Again, thanks.

Fuck, I can't even open the html for Raise High the Roof Beam, Carpenters and Seymour: An Introduction
I'm happy though since I managed to download and open the text file of the uncollected stories.
